So true. I immediately noticed that they kicked it down a half step, and I thought, "Uh-oh, how's her voice?" But even if she can't get to those high notes, her voice still sounds great! Strong as ever. I also love that she and Neil have one of the few long-lasting relationships in rock. Wish I could see this whole episode.

Before auto tune, there was not only greatness but also trained vocalists who used their voices as finely tuned embodied instruments. Tell me you're old w/o telling me you're old, after you've told me you're old 😂 99.9% of musicians aren't using AI nor do they have any interest in doing so. I'm 50 yrs old & have worked in NYC as an artist & producer for 25+ years now. I can assure you there's just as much musicality happening today as there was in the 80s, (more, because there's more access) the difference is people like yourself don't seek it out, because you're happy listening to music from your youth. There's amazing music out there that has zero to do w/AI, but you're too rigid & stuck in your ways to notice. So stop painting the world thru the narrow lenses you see it thru, & get a grip.

@@JeighNeitherThere is still a lot of good young talent out there, but a lot of focus goes to the less talented young who become popular and then legacy acts like Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo sound even better at 71 and 69 than when they were a lot more young. They are very good for their age or any age. I am 51 and recall their 1980s heyday. They were great then and are currently just for still rocking and it being on stage and not in a rocking chair.

@@jasonburger3533 Her lips don't match the vocals. Her microphone movements also betray her lip synching. It's OK, no one expects her to have those pipes at her age. Besides, this was for TV. It's also possible they re-recorded the vocals after the performance. That is often done for live albums and films (parts are touched uo in studio after the live show.)

I was 13 when this cut dropped in 1983. It was a banger then. It's still a banger, sung with 40 more years of living seasoning the song and performance. Ms. Benatar and the crew sound incredible.:)

Excellent performance! Pat and Neil totally rock with authority. Song has aged well ( one of her best, most serious songs) and it’s great to hear how Benatar has kept her voice intact. She’s really genuine and I appreciate her so much more now than I did when she ruled the radio forty years ago.

I must have watched this 30 times and Neil is an incredible player, but as a journeyman I look at the rhythm section and what talent they have - the drummer is a machine, what a track.

It's just an incredible performance! I feel completely inspired, just like back in the day when I was a young teen/20 something guitarist playing in a rock band before there was ever such a thing as KZfaq, Pro-Tools, and pitch-correct when people needed real talent to reach for greatness. So refreshing and being a 60 y/o that's completely gray, I can appreciate their move to just be the genuine artists they are by rocking their gray and being themselves.
