I've worked for a pawn shop company for about 5 years now and I've scored tons of great deals on tech over the years. My only suggestion is to ask to see the items working before you purchase them, and test them thoroughly. Sometimes the pawn shop employees aren't necessarily the most tech savvy people out there so occasionally we'll end up buying something that doesn't work 100% the way it should. Most pawn shop employees are paid sales commissions so they should be more than willing to help you test something if it means they make a sale. I do think pawn shops are often overlooked when it comes to buying gaming and tech stuff. I've bought hundreds of games, DVDs and Blu-Rays over the years and almost all of it was a fraction of the price I'd pay from a local game shop or eBay.

I usually only go to pawn shops when I need something that I don't want to look for. You can always haggle a bit, that's key. The other good thing about pawn shops is that you can return it much easier. That's if you keep the receipt .

I buy a lot of consoles from pawn shops. Mostly just stuff for my kids. Saves me a lot of money. Shop usually will let you test out products before you buy. Only issues are the handheld console batteries are typically dead so if you know what your looking for, it's not a bad idea to bring a charger around for the ride. Glad you did this video.
