2:35 When they say "in-ear" earphones, I think they're talking about IEM or in-ear monitors. They tend to better seal the ear canal making it more isolated compared to regular earbuds that are more open. IEM is like having an earplug with drivers.

We had the original version of these back in the 70's. They tended to pop mid punch causing great pain. We also had what was called a trampoline alternative that sucked, it was a large truck or tractor innertube that you inflated between two canvas sheets connected by straps. If you tried to bounce on it like a trampoline you tended to get severely banged up.
