Thank you for this video Sir! As someone who has just booked PLAB 1 (even booking it is competitive now), what do the job prospects look like in a few years from now ( as COVID vacancies would have been filled) as you mentioned something about jobs reducing after 2023. Thank you again for all the guidance !

Emergency Departments are hugely understaffed in Australia and in the UK and will likely be so for next 12months. This is the time to get into the system (either) ...Read this: acem.org.au/News/January-2023/Doctor-shortages-in-emergency-departments-set-to-w?fbclid=IwAR3l9-NK5Q9OPwGr71FH9Gvv6vJCo0cfdukYDZkSN68WZrjfehnY6Sd7Pus

Hii, Dr Rizvan How hard is it to get into Cardiology advance training after completing basic training in Australia through competent authority pathway(GMC+ 1YR experience)!?

Hi mate, thanks for your video I just found your channel and found it super useful. Am asking for a friend who’s situation is abit unique, and basically he is in the midst of IM training 3rd year with MRCP. I understand that it’s best to complete training first, but I also heard that there’s a “prior learning”. If he redos the IM residency in Australia, could prior learning shave a few years off in the training? Thanks mate! ❤

Any accreditation of IM training in the UK for a particular speciality will need to recognised by RACP through SIMG pathway

Thank you for the comprehensive video. As you said in the video, the conception is that getting into the surgical field in Australia is extremely difficult, especially for IMGs. With your experience, do you think that an IMG from the subcontinent, with adequate commitment and knowledge can get through all those barriers and enter into the surgical specialty in Australia?

Absolutely YES

Thank you Dr Rizwan for your informative videos. My spouse has Full MRCP and completed Mmed internal medicine in Kenya with full GMC registration. No UK job experience yet but has plans to work in Australia. Would you advise her to take AMC 1 or she works for a year in the UK for her to apply for an Aussie job?
@EmergencyFocus Жыл бұрын
This session specifically answers your question in detail: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kJiFnsWV07_Rnqs.html Essentially, MRCP no validity in Aus must do AMC 1. Going to the UK is a personal preference rather than a professional advice.

Hello! Thankyou for the information. I have a question, I am currently doing medicine from Europe (Indian passport holder) and I plan to give the AMC exam when I graduate. So will it be possible to get a job after AMC since I only have the last year courses of Medical school for internship ?
@EmergencyFocus Жыл бұрын
Getting a job has little to do with AMC 1 or 2 and PLAB. These are just licensing exams. The real world chances of job are more linked to your work experience, skills and communication and how to apply for a job & perform during the interview

Is FRCEM (CESR pathway and not CCT) valid to work in Australia? If not can we apply for Registrar post after MRCEM and a year of experience in UK? Thanking you in anticipation
@EmergencyFocus Жыл бұрын
Registrar positions in Australia are based on your clinical experience not exams. Minimum 2 years UK experience post FY1, yes you may apply. Your FRCEM via CESR pathway needs to be approved by ACEM for any training accrediting.
