@@jlace8311 Rugby has a pretty big culture at the collegiate level in the US. I started playing for my college club back in 2013 and I still play for a local men's club here in San Antonio, Texas. Sadly we are not very well represented at the professional or international level. Our international sevens side is at least competitive due to their speed

@Anthony Caldwell That's cool Anthony. My cousin in Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 plays Rugby and he plays with his team all over the world. He played here in Miami too with other teams. I remember watching MLR finals with NY and other team, I always saw Rugby growing as a college sport. They got a major league for it now in US

It happens. Korea is always a strong team I expect team Korea will go farther in the tournament than AUS and have a far better shot at winning the whole thing.

It's definitely still a minority sport by far here (football and basketball the more popular American sports), but baseball is actually undergoing a bit of a surge in Australia. I think we have close to 30 in the MLB minor leagues

Unfortunately the Korean baseball league has been declining ever since 2009 WBC. The league overexpanded and overpaid to the point that there was less competition between skilled players. Even the fans noticed the lack of fighting spirit, with predictable tactics and an overload of errors. The 2013 and 2017 editions and the 2020 Olympics are the proof of this mess.

As a Baseball fan from New Zealand this is close as it gets for me to support my own team at the World classics. I'm proud of the Aussie team baseball isn't recognized enough over there what with rugby league, Cricket, rugby union, AFL, soccer and basketball. But Australia are competitive no matter what sport it is.

As a Dominican 🇩🇴 where the country plays mostly baseball and basketball with gymnastics and Rugby too, other sports. New Zealand can still qualify fot WBC but they aren't close yet. They always lose every qualifers.. Australia 🇦🇺 still can play baseball. Cricket being popular there helps make baseball more relevant and consistent there. But those guys can hit on the Aussie team

Kang Baek-ho's mistake is not just a mistake. Because he wasn't serious about baseball. The Australian second baseman did his best until the end and caught the outcount, while the Korean player thought it was too easy.

@@joamon10 That's the general gist. Kang beat the throw to 2nd, but came off the base celebrating and Glendinning tagged him. Terrible 2nd out of the inning. Gotta stay on the base until the umps rule the play complete.

There are at least 15 aus players right now in mlb. Hendricks for the white sox bring the most notable probably.

@@Marylandbrony The Manager of the Aussie team played EIGHT seasons in MLB and there has been overr 40 others to play. Also Minors, NCAA, Euro and Asian Leagues and for many decades.

for the past decade, the salary of Korean Baseball Players has gone up extremely and each player's skills and spirits has come down extremely also. Congratulation Aussies!!!! and Farewell Korean Baseball.
