I do for sure. ABC was my go to after school in the 90's. I remember we had Power Rangers and A*Mazing on Channel 7 between 3:30 to 4:30, then we'd turn to ABC for shows like Arthur, The Ferals, The Wayne Manifesto, Fly Tales, Plasmo and George & Martha to name a few. In the 00's, I do remember The Basil Brush Show, Angela Anaconda, Horrible Histories (Animated), The Saddle Club and Bottle Top Bill to name a few. The Good ol' days of TV in Australia are far behind us sadly. Thank goodness for DVD's and VHS recordings from back then.

The "main" channel, ABC1, is overwhelmingly national: the schedule has specific opt-out times in each state for daily local news (7pm), some local sport (Satuday afternoons), a weekly state-based current affairs program (Friday 7:30pm) and one-off special events (e.g. state elections) that are broadcast in just that state). Everything else on the ABC1 schedule is "down the pipeline out of Sydney to the rest of Australia". (Of course Sydney knows best, the principle of modern Australia.) The other 3 digital ABC stations - ABC2, ABC3 and ABC24 are as far as I know national services with no local content..Re "time zones - yes, programmes on ABC1 are put to air on "time delay" in SA/NT and WA so the nightly news is at 7pm everywhere. Chaos does ensue during Summer with introduction of daylight savings time.

Is that broadcast nationally across australia or on a time-delay basis depending on which state you live in Australia? Also can I ask how is ABC TV and SBS TV funded? With a lience fee and no commercials like the BBC here in the UK or with ad breaks and a limted lience fee or some other mothod. One final question if I may,I am a gerat NRL fan! ALL NRL Games are shown on pay TV [Premier Sports] here in the UK and The Footy Show. How popular is the footy show and WHY OH WHY! does Channel 9 TV have commericial breaks during play in The Grand Final. [Even though we [in the UK] Don"t see the ad breaks] we know they are coming because the commentators go quiet. garry simpson AFAIK Channel 9"s TODAY is broadcast "on delay" around Australia at the same clock time - here in Adelaide only ABC24 is broadcast "live to air", all the other primary stations (SBS, 7, 9, 10) are usually on 30 minute delay as per the "Central Australia" timezone. ABC and SBS are both government funded, no licence fees, SBS carries some advertising. Commercial TV has commercials - not much can be done about it; Channel 9 personalities and their production crews have to eat too. The "good old days" in Australia of major sport on ABC TV (without commercials) are long gone sadly.
