Thanks for this eagerly awaited news Will. As discussed after with your AMRA Caulfield exhibition coverage, I ordered a DERM and trailer at the pre release price. Ian of IDR was most helpful with my questions for my first order by remote means. It all arrived safe and well thanks to Ian, IDR and the Australia Post tracking system. So adding to the praise of the IDR service.

Yes a review of the IDR DERM would be great, in fact, review any new model you get! 👍 Would also be cool to see you review a set of the EMS cattle van kits currently available, the sheep vans were fantastic. The ease of the kit explained in a review might even encourage more folks to make that step into kit building. You could make a whole video on the process even? Anyways, keep up the good work.

I absolutely will! I’m just working on the SDS 81 class video at the moment! At this point I’m still a bit apprehensive on spending money on models of an era I don’t model, but I can certainly consider it! Thanks for watching

I hope the truck castings on the Accucraft 13 ton shay are brass this time as their previous 2 cyl shay versions (Mich-Cal and open cab) were diecast zinc-aluminium based alloy and were prone to breakage, often fracturing in many pieces and virtually impossible to repair. They no longer keep spare parts for such either. Their other shays have more sturdier trucks so not as much of an issue.

This is a long way from the Tyco, and Lima and Tr-ang Australian trains of old, which were with some exceptions just British and US locomotives and Rolling stock in a VR, and NSW paint scheme.

I wouldn't read too much into the Green SDS 900, green is one of the colors unpainted shells appear in. Pity theres no news on the TGR and WAGR HOn3.5 models, guess they're going to be pretty late into next year now..
