Hi, this is very informative! Thanks! I was granted a 309 visa last Feb 2020, since then my flights has been continuing to cancel due to pandemic and as you know there is a "first entry" rule on the visa. I hope you can make a video about the first entry rule and what to do during this pandemic. Best regards!

Glad it was helpful Jennifer. Currently during the pandemic the initial entry date requirements are not being enforced and probably wont be for some time even after travel restrictions are eased. As the spouse of an Australian Citizen or PR you can apply for entry permission at anytime. Thanks for watching

Happy New Year from Fiji, Karl! Just a question please. I am willing to take up Masters in Accounting studies in coming months. Ultimate question is, can my wife/spouse accompany & work for unlimited hours (she holds Masters in Economics). I just heard spouses will not be allowed from June 2024, So i am not sure on this. If you are onshore in Australia and you lodge a partner application 820/801 then yes a bridging visa will be automatically issued and you can stay her. For more advice please book an appointment. Love the classic truck!

Thank you so much for this very informative video. At this time (Covid) would you advise the US spouse (married for 9 years) of an Australian citizen to apply for an exemption to enter Australia and then apply for the partner visa onshore? Perhaps more complex than can be answered in this space. But any suggestion would be very much appreciated. Cheers

Thanks Jordan for the feedback. Yes it is possible to gain the exemption for the grant of a visitor visa. Once onshore it is possible to apply for an onshore partner application. Book a time if you need to discuss in detail.

I follow your all video and it's great informative source to get information, could you please make me clear about 491 income source , is it only applicant should show income or partner also can show all 3 years income , and if we have fix deposits in overseas and getting interest from bank , the interest amount can show as a income for 491 visa ? Thank you

Hi Dati thank you for watching. Yes all income is income and the tax office loves to get their hands on as much as they can to tax. Unfortunately it is only the main applicants income levels which will be taken into account at the moment. Kind regards, Karl Konrad

Thank you for the advises and information given in this group. Question: My son is Australian citizen, leaves overseas with his defacto relation (in this relationship for more than 2 years), both came to Australia in 2019, she as a tourist, now want to come to live in NSW where we live. What is better: subclass 820 and 801 or 309 and 100. What visa would she need if she comes to Australia before approval if she applies from overseas?

Thanks Lialk. The 820 onshore is always the best, come on a tourist visa and then lodge. However these days coming on a tourist is not possible so people lodge the 309 instead. Please book a time to discuss details about requirements. Thanks for watching

Hi thanks for the informative video. I am currently on tourist visa (in WA) and planning to apply for partner visa 820 before my current visa expires in mid June. My partner and I have been together for 7+ years and he is an Australian citizen. We have not been living together as we were in a long distance relationship and I was only able to arrive in Australia in March due to Covid travel restriction. We are not able to register our relationship as we are in WA. We are now thinking to just lodge our partner visa application first and then get married and attach the marriage certificate after lodgement to strengthen our application. Would that make our application 'dubious'? Also would it be an issue for us to choose 'engaged' or 'de facto' relationship at the time of visa application even though we haven't registered our relationship and we are not able to produce cohabitation proof for 12 months. We do have other proof such as joint bank statement (also less than 12 months), travel photos and text messages. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello great video, my partner is on the the temporary partner visa 820. It's coming up 2 years since we applied. Will the immigration department let us know to apply for phase 2 permanent visa 801 or provide an update? Also we are wanting to go on a holiday to visit family. If she is on the holiday overseas and during that time it is granted, will there be problems? She is anxious about not being let back in. Cheers for the video

HI Jennifer. If you are able to get a tourist visa it would be better to enter Australia on that and apply for a Partner visa onshore. When the visitor visa expires you then will have full time permission to work whilst you wait for the partner visa to be processed. Please book a time to discuss your circumstances in detail. Hi .. I am an Australian citizen living in Egypt and i took my citizenship by descent.. i didn't live more than 2years in Australia and now i have have 2 sons and expecting another in November ... Hi Friends, I was granted Australian Permanent Residency visa while I am outside Australia, and if I got married before making first entry to Australia. Will my partner be eligible for offshore partner visa 309. Cause I found that my permanent residency visa won't active till I arrive Australia.

HI Sagar, yes you can apply for a tourist visa to enter Australia if an offshore partner visa has already been lodged. You can also then apply for a travel exemption so they can get permission to enter Australia during the pandemic.

Sir, what visa do I need to apply because my BVB expired because of this pandemic lockdown. I lodged my 820/801 onshore after our wedding. I was granted BVA but since we need to travel then granted the BVB. Now I couldn’t come back Melbourne because restrictions on International flights and borders are closed.

You may consider to apply for a visitor visa to enter Australia then reinstate your BVA for your partner visa.

The 100 visa can be processed at any time after 24 months of application date Veera. Surprised they didn't save time by granting them both together

@@hakkyasar8974 Currently only immediate dependent of an Australian citizen/Pr can travel to aus. All information regarding visitor visa (600) is there on immigration Australia site. You can apply by yourself and will get it within one month

Thanks, they asked me to go for 801 permanent partner visa medical examination after I waited for 2 years on bringing visa, so I did my medical examination 3 months ago but I still don’t hear anything from them
