Dion has been waiting for years to visit Taiwan and as soon as the borders opened he booked the first flight he could! He is driving around the whole island to take as many photos as possible and is stopping in Taichung for one day so join me as I take him on a whirlwind tour of my great city Taichung!

Hope Taiwan impressed you and keep you coming back often ^^ I've enjoyed my trip in Australia as well, the most wonderful trip I ever had in fact. We stayed in a farm B&B, we throughed the field by truck, we observed the wild animals in the evening, we camped at riverside, we hold koala in the arms... all these activities are unforgetable. ☺

彩虹眷村因房舍老舊導致牆面龜裂，將自111年8月1日整修封閉半年，展開加固工程保護屋舍結構，預計至112年1月底重新開放，具體日期依工程實際進度而定。

@@jolin1225 對呀！國語講「早！」、「早安、午安、晚安！」、粵語「早晨！」都比普通話的「早上好、晚上好！」更簡潔，值得堅持推廣。切忌切記因為對岸人多勢眾而遭劣幣逐良幣。另外明顯事例是翻譯用語，其實臺灣的「新力」比大陸的「索尼」好、臺灣的「耐吉」又比大陸的「耐克」更正確。

彩虹眷村很可惜以前是很好拍照的地方還有台灣的冬天霧霾比較嚴重夏天隨便拍都是漂亮的風景~~ 祝你們早到很多漂亮的地方!!! 拍很多美麗照片留下美好的回憶!! 假如去到921記念公園再進去一點點可以到圓滿教堂那裡很漂亮雖然是很多人安息的地方但裡面有各種宗教的園區漂亮而且清幽或者附近亞洲大學以及林家花園(需要門票) 都很適合拍照

彩虹眷村並沒有要拆除,只是先前曾被有心人澄漆破壞,因此才會暫時封閉整修,其實台中有許多值得推薦的地方,如高美溼地、霧峰林家、審計新村、大甲鎮瀾宮、一德洋行、台中刑務所演武場”台中州廳、宮原眼科、台中新社等,都很適合拍照喔！

台中最漂亮的地方應該是沙鹿東晉東的九個太陽，第二名才是清水高美濕地夕陽，第三名大雪山鳶嘴山眺望台中港西碼頭五根大煙囪。

彩虹眷村是因為行銷公司與臺中市政府有一些營運上的意見不合，導致行銷公司派幾個人把漆潑在黃爺爺辛辛苦苦的畫作上.... 所以必須圍籬起來，這真的很令人難過，畢竟自從彩虹爺爺改造了這個眷村之後，一直都有一些這方面誰能經營權跟營運的糾紛存在😵‍💫 黃爺爺也年事已高，也無法再繼續創作了，原本是一個很好的文化特色，背後可藏了很多利益上的糾葛... (我是住在成功嶺眷村附近的人民，幾乎每天都會經過那邊)

東區樂成宮（媽祖廟）；南天宮（關聖帝君）還有糖廠也可以來走走（附近肉圓，米粉湯和涼麵美食都不錯吃）走完後再往隔壁三井湖濱已在朝試營運準備年底聽說是會開幕，到時希望可以看到您第一手的開幕影片喔

牛肉麵的酸菜是芥菜醃製的不是cabbage 高麗菜或大白菜，所以英文是pickled mustard green. 臭豆腐配的才是用高麗菜做的 pickled cabbage 熱狗的酸菜sauerkraut是比較硬又厚的cabbage 做的。

Allan：其實．．．．台中很多古蹟的！清朝的將軍府邸（豐原／潭子），后里的糖廠＆馬場（日本殖民時期），台中後火車站的帝國糖廠（日本殖民時期）大里的老街［大里杙］＆大甲的馬祖廟［鎮瀾宮］（明／清時期）～ＯＫ～i konw that 24Hr is a short！😆😆😆

About 彩虹眷村, It's actually not taken down by big industry, there has been an argument between the company and the owner of the paintings, and the company maliciously destroy part of the paintings bla-bla-bla. It's a shame the city government can't keep the place and this argument turns out to be an ugly fight.

Due to cracks in the walls caused by old houses, Rainbow Military Village will be closed for half a year from August 1, 2022, and reinforcement works will be carried out to protect the structure of the houses. 帥倫還有林森路演武場也很棒以後那裡的日式宿舍群翻修成功恢以前的樣貌值得區走走看看喔週六日有小蝸牛文創市集喜歡不要有人聲鼎沸的可以平常日去附近很棒的地方百年日式建築的茶藝館還有教插花的地方都在附近非常古色古香只是那位澳洲朋友娶的是中國籍妻子可能中國古代建築他不會太驚豔如果帶他們去日式舊式建築攝影師一定很喜歡因為我也很喜歡拍照

This guy is really a glass full type of guy. He thinks the traffic is as orderly as Melbourne (hahahaha) and likens the temple to the Forbidden City. I was waiting for him to say the weather was mild and the best he has ever experienced.

Yes very much glass nearly full. Really the traffic isn’t that bad. It use to take me 40 minutes to get to work with dropping my son off at school. And 90+ minutes to get home and no pickup. Just drove from Kenting to Taichung via the coast and although long was not bad at all.
