I have looking for the SOUTH COAST DAYLIGHT EXPRESS .THAT USED TO RUN FROM SYDNEY TO NOWRA. ..AND BACK IN THE AFTERNOON. .THE ENGINE WAS GREEN AND CARRIAGES THE SAME COLOUR ..WITH SOUTH COAST DAYLIGHT EXPRESS WRITTEN ON THE SIDE OF THE CARRIAGES ..IT WAS RUNNING ABOUT THE YEAR .1940 OR THEREABOUTS ....I USED TO WATCH IT AS A KID ..

Great work guys & thank you for sharing.I haven't enjoyed anything like this so much since the 2003 Rugby World Cup final, sorry , just joking.Yeah, OK, I'm English. Outstanding stuff & how nice to know that the preservation of our steam locos is alive & well down under. Again, thank you & keep up the great work.

They need to bring steam back, maybe hydrogen based trains to provide the sound and effect without the pollution or something. How cool would that be! I'd move out of the city just so I could commute on it into work.

Why two engines, Australian steam locomotives are weaker? In India trains carry at least 8 carriages and packed with passengers but never seen two engines. Even on kalka - Simla, Matheran lines there used to be only one engine.

Could be for engine balancing purposes, lessens track occupancy, called "light attached "NSW has abundant heavy ruling grades, might even be a railfan special with a request for 2 locomotives .🚂

@@adriankingston4338 As the owner/author of the footage would they not logically be the first to expect an answer to any questions? Equally you could provide, I assume, the list yourself as you have proposed I do. As I said "it would be nice" if a running list of times existed so as to fast forward to a desired piece of footage. The question was put to DuckPlumberThe14th not Adrian Kingston.
