What is the root cause? A western born child on average is extremely fortunate, good early childhood development, good communication development from early on, good respectful relationship with parents and others. Most importantly no physical abuse, no emotional abuse, no fear, no trauma, the child grows with unlimited potential. Add to that, superior reading skills, writing skills from early schools years. The child grows with full of self respect and confidence, therefore able to travel explore foreign lands as teenagers. Sadly a sri lankan born child grows up with religious and cultural dogma, family truma, social and family abuse, fear, judgements, so much mental emotional limitations, with very limited exposure to books , so very limited reading and writing skills. A sri lankan born child may look innocent with a ready smile, but underneath is an underdeveloped suppressed child full of fear and unable to expand. So as adults sri lankan society as a whole reflects the chaotic collectitive childhood. This absolute bullshit of our mindsets must be exposed. That's why SL is called an underdeveloped country, not just the economy, our minds are under developed. A tribal society indeed.

On the whole young genaration has more world wide view, knowledge of politics & policies, managing finance. Basically from the young age they are confident 😊 in many aspects of life ❤

Currently, Sri Lankan undergraduates are facing a non academic strike. Almost all the university studies are halted, only online studies, no practicals, most with no examinations, halted convocations, halted examination result issues. But no undergraduate speaks on behalf of them. I privately spoke against, just tried to explain the others to speak on behalf of them. IDK why they don't get into that. Yes, very true. Living in Australia, our daughter went on a tour of South America and Cuba on her own and with her own money - before she was 20 yrs old We were concerned as Sri Lankan parents, but she came through very well. Aftr that, we made the same trip.

Can you please do a video about the disgusting Sri Lankan cultural practice of forcing children to kneel down for everyone, even who are just a few weeks older than them. Even many Lankans here in Aussi expect kids to do this, I have argued with my husband a lot about this, I believe this is the first point where Childrens’ ego & self confidence is crushed in Sri Lanka, having to kneel down for the worst ever abusive teachers or adults. Why not let children do what they feel out of respect- if the person is worth, it will come naturally from children. We need to educate children that even abusers, criminals, culprits & idiots can also be adults or grow up to become adults - respect is something you earn, not something any villain is entitled to just because they are older. I have been criticised badly from Lankan relos & friends both here & in Sl for not encouraging my kids to worship anyone just because they are older than them.

Traditional education system in SL almost one way straight trip. No chance for Drop outs, No take a rest & go facilities. Because of this narrowed opportunities & paths all the parents & children are living with high anxiety, stress & depression that would ruin their personalities beyond any remedy with time, without knowing them. I think this is one of the main reason behind abnormal behaviour patterns in the society. Despite the Open university & many technical colleges it seems not successful for some reasons. But German Tec & very few private institutions seems somewhat successful.
