I watched Steve everyday after school when I was a kid… I even remember when Bindi was born. It was my dream to visit Australia Zoo but living in the US made that impossible. In my second semester of college, I changed my major from English to Biology with an emphasis on zoology, because Steve (along with my dad) instilled a love for animals in me. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to return to university after my second semester. Dropping out was like losing my dream to work in a zoo. I dropped out in August, and then Steve died in September. But seeing his family now, flourishing. Bindi is beautiful and such a wonderful new mommy. Robert is Steve’s clone. I can’t tell you how many videos I’ve watched and think I see Steve in the background only to realize it’s Robert. You guys are continuing his legacy and it’s such a beautiful thing to see and instill that love in my own children. Happy Father’s Day, Steve. And Happy First Father’s Day to Chandler. My Father taught me to love all of Mother Nature's creatures... even the "icky" ones... each and every one has a purpose on this Earth. We would spend hours in the woods, often not saying a word, just sitting quietly and watching what was around us. I had a childhood much like Terri's... raccoons, turtles, birds, even a baby alligator!! all came through our house at one time....

I still cant believe that Bindi and Chandler are parents, mad! I grew up on the Irwin's and I want to work at Australia Zoo after Uni. Thank Steve for being a good father, role model, conservationist and for influencing my smexy Australian accent 😏💚
