That drone is very impressive for sure. I just don't like the fact that it's not compatible with the Smart Controllers, there's a few more things I personally don't like, but yeah. I sure hope that Autel fixes those things. Thanks for sharing Marcus. 👍👍👍

We have population explosion in North Carolina but these small Southern towns don't build infrastructure first, they try to manage with what's here - try and fail. The parks and infrastructure you show outside of Boise look terrific, even if too many farms get built over isn't necessarily an improvement, they do some job! When I retire I might have to come fly drones with you! 😂

Back to our favorite non DJI Drone. I would really like to see that 6.4" display Smart Controller SE made compatible. Autel says it's a matter of getting the Sky App to run on it, but the transmission bands are different! SE runs 900mhz, 2.4ghz and 5.8 ghz. Lite+ runs 2.4ghz/5.2ghz/5.8ghz One of these things is not like they other. But keeping fingers crossed. Not a fan of the Lite/Nano series controller. It's okay but goes dead before I can fly 4 batteries . Fingers crossed they pull it off!

I've finally received mine. 🙌 I've not RTH to test that again. But the first time I did. I put the gimbal down and it found the landing pad and landed. I forgot what she said while landing but I found it to be cool. Don't ask what setting I was in or etc. I can't remember lmao. Watching this video reminded me to test this out again. What I can tell you is. On the app it asked if I wanted the RTH set to me aka controller or drone take-off spot and or customized. All three are great options depending on the situation. Now that I think about it. I had it set to RTH drone take-off spot. Nevertheless, I'll try it again and keep ya posted unless someone else has already tested it or not. All and all learning this beast and how to use the controls and features but so far so good.

Hey Marcus thanks for posting. I really would love to see more viable competition for DJI. Everyone wins when there’s strong competition in a marketplace. I truly wish the American company Skydio would be more interested in the consumer market. They’re much more interested in the substantially larger industrial market. Fly safe buddy! -TED NEMETH

Where they are pumping the concrete for those homes, I was reminded of how some homes are so huge inside that they use up most the lot leaving so much less for an actual yard. At about the 13:30 mark, it looks like farm land but who knows how long it will stay that way the way things are growing. Probably a huge influx from the mass exodus from California which is understandable.

Hi Marcus, nice run with your Autel Lite+. While coming to its end of life, my Autel EVO ll drones still perform well. IMO the main difference between the lite+ and EVO ll is that the EVO ll Explorer app does missions that is useful for mapping. I'm not sure that Autel will survive the consumer drone business. One of the big advantages of the Autel drones is that there is no geofencing. Pilots must use their own intelligence to fly safely.

No other drone lands back home like the Evo 2. Within 1 or 2 inches every time.

Maybe you can confirm or dispel something. From what I've read, yesterday's drones used to take a picture of the home point but modern drones, from the time of Phantom 4 on, use GPS to note its 'Home Point'. So when they don't land precisely it's because the GPS is off a little. I think we can safely say the sensors and GPS are often off by several feet. Note the height and distance meters in the app sometime when you have the drone close enough to tell if they are accurate as a test.

In settings you have to set your home point to increase the accuracy of RTH. Therefore I don't get this RTH inaccuracy with my Lite drones. It uses the GPS (not the camera) when performing a RTH landing.

I will defer to Oz Straya on this one. I feel like precision landing is a bit of a gimmick.

I had the Autel Evo II 8K and recently sold it....I did enjoy the camera quality but it was like flying a brick. The horizon tilt issue was there more times than not but I didn't see it in this video at all. Also Autel doesn't support their products for the long term which played a part in my decision to sell it.

The Autel Lite series is an excellent camera drone platform with outstanding cameras, but sadly let down by Autel's non existent firmware/software development. This is the Achilles Heel with Autel Robotics. They make excellent hardware but have software/firmware which needs alot of improvements compared to its market competition.

Great product but crippled by the Autel company itself which has great difficulties with supply and service. These drones are big money items so anyone considering buying Autel has to ask themselves the question about supply and service quality. For me DJI is far superior on those two items alone
