Today we are going to talk about the exciting problem in table tennis. There are many fake products in table tennis on the market, but not many people talk about it. So the buyer, that's you, has a big chance to buy a fake product out there.

You don't have to worry about not understanding you - you speak very clearly, and it's easy to understand. Yes, you have an accent, and I have too, since I'm not a native speaker. The captions are nice, but don't be so worried EmRatThich. :)

Everytime someone buys fake is hurting the Table Tennis Sport, every player should remember this! China, the major country on this beautiful sport ( also is National Sport) should lead and pursue these fake products. We need Japanese, German, Sweden to also make DHS better. Only with good brands competing for best products sport evolves, new materials, investigation etc. China Authorities, China players, please please fight this with iron hand ! Save our Sport, it's a Treasure !

Do you have opinion about brands like sanwei or yinhe who make their own products based on a structure of the most popular blades from stiga or butterfly ?

Ok, I already know where to buy fake hande for satiga but I still have no idea how to NOT buy a fake items. I just spend 16 min for review some online shop of fake handles for a tt rocket. But thanks for link on article it will be more useful!

Ma Long plays DHS and Xu Xin plays Stiga (stiga finances the CNT). Could you do the same for those brands?

Stiga is a long term 'partner' with the Chinese National Team. That being said, they are 'not' a sponsor with them. However, they have a China office in Beijing dealing with Stiga Table Tennis products which are popular with Mainlander Chinese. Liu Guoliang plays with the Clipper Classic Penhold all his career. Fan Zhendong, Xu Xin, Zhu Yuling and Chen Meng were all sponsored by Stiga. Meanwhile, the Chinese National Team uses DHS for their 'National' rubber exclusively developed for them. The ITTF DHS official balls were developed by Nittaku.

I currently play with a Stiga Carbonado 190 Penhold. Right away, I could tell the fake. The fake has a light blue while the real one is a darker blue. Also most handles are uniform, even the flared one. Not so with the fake ones. Plus besides the wrong spelling on the label tab, the real one has a metallic base, not a plastic one with all the wrong fonts.

I have a friend who was so happy to buy a 200 dollar zjk super zlc when it is normally almost 500 bucks, turns out to be fake. The moment i saw it i knew its fake

hi. is hurricane 3 neo better than normal hurricane.

hi, the normal Hurricane is designed to use with booster. The Neo version is pre-tuned factory, Neo means New version. It has rather same quality. However, the Old version last longer. Sometime the pre-tune effect lost very fast after 4 weeks.

@@pingsunday what if use neo and then when the factory booster effect leave, i use my own booster. I already bought one on the forehand with carbonado 245 so should i get booster for after 4 weeks. thanks, its my first time using hard Chinese rubber on forehand because of your advice. one more question, in your opinion whats the best forehand rubber.

Fake blades are perfect for testing before buy real one... Some viscarias are good for amateurs to try sensations before buy real ones...

General rules of thumb to identify fake TT products and not becoming a sucker. I'll point out a few common areas for you: 1. Always buy from reliable dealers. If it is too cheap to be true, it is fake! 2. All real Butterfly blades will have a serial no. that matching the serial no. on their box/case. e.g. flake has NO serial # on the case/box. 3. The real Butterfly metal logo on top of the handle is clear and covered by a small plastic sheet. 4. For Flake blades and low quality blades, their wood surface layer could come off after rubbers re-gluing, e.g. small pieces of wood are peeled off with the rubbers. This is another important point why flake blades are bad to use. 5. Watch out for not clear fonts, spellings, finishing etc. For rubbers, if you can smell a strong odor from the packing, mostly is fake. They only last a short time and become "dead". 6. When there is ITTF, JTTAA or CTTAA printed on the packages, it could still be a fake. Don't be fooled. By the way, TT blades do not require ITTF approval. 7. Ask the more experience players if you are not too sure about the equipment or where to buy, etc. Enjoy Table Tennis with your good equipment!

the quality is not the same. The real one always gives you spinnier and faster ball. It's the quality of the wood

Great ! Now I know why I can't hit one ball like a pro :D Maaan the blades are good if it suits your style , no brand is better , just different price and quality of the finish. So overpriced equipment that people go and make fakes , if it was not profitable there would be no fakes. Humans greed man ! Awful! I have 3 out of 5 DHS Hurricane 3 neo rubbers that are trash after trying to boost them . If the rubber is good after boosting it is real pleasure to play and if it is bad it makes bubbles or have 30% less spin and you just suffer is you try to play like before and like you actually have to .

Is not real that you can improve with cheap material... Remember a lot of children in China play 2 years with 5 dollars rubbers and cheap blade for sure...
