Jacob putting his shoes on literally almost made me cry. Only autism moms would understand that. Its a long road and a usually messy with sensory kids. lol. You guys are doing awesome and you have so much patience, which other parents need to see. You're lucky to have each other.

@@whodathought6001 My thinking might be a little outdated but I am of the opinion that a mother is still the best thing that can happen to a kid. Dads are just a good bonus where they're obtainable. I watch my wife navigating through the experience we're having with our autistic daughter. She still can laugh and enjoy life like it was nothing while I already had more than two breakdowns in two years due to anxiety. You guys are incredibly built to handle raising kids.

I understand that feeling of when your youngest achieves something your oldest hasn't done yet, its painfully beautiful. We have a boy and girl too. (My son is 3.5 yrs has pre verbal autism, and my daughter is 1.5 yrs and can say many words. We want to potty train them. I got out the potty the other day and my daughter immediately sat on it to our delight. We believe our son will potty train soon. There is this constant battle of celebrating each child's wins without discouraging or minimising the other child. You are fantastic parents, your children are incredible, thank you for sharing your journey with us, GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

i also have a son who has autism. he also has a lot of energy. He is 3 years old and still has diapers. I also know that it will be difficult for him to learn potty training because he doesn't communicate. you don't want to know how my house looks like my little one makes mess everywhere. yesterday he spread the whole earth of a plant in my kitchen on the floor everywhere I just cried .. sometimes it's hard because nobody understands me it's not easy .. i feel you i have learned to be in his world to accept him as he is even if you never really want to believe that he has autism and you have hope that it will be gone one day .. you are great parents❤️

Same here. You're not alone. Start seeing it from their point of view. This is what they feel living is. This channels gives useful tips on coping mechanism. It might help in mitigating your stress. The best thing I've come in terms with is that you and I are not more normal than them. And that It may be hard but they can learn if properly thought and trained. They are beautiful just the way they are. I wouldn't change anything about my daughter if i could because then it will about my convenience not her personality.

I know that "feeling" My elder son was diagnosed with down syndrome at 4 months pregnant, he will now be 4 years old in May and is a big brother to his 8 month old brother, many of the milestones my 8 month old has reached and still demonstrating are a big shock and like a wow moment for me and my partner so yes we do know the feeling I understand where you're coming from 100%. My 4 year old is still not toilet trained as well and everyday is a struggle as he too is not verbal however he babbles like crazy and says very basic everyday words that he uses in his vocabulary and everyday I wake up with the knowledge that today is a new day, another day for a chance for improvement. He is who he is and I wouldn't change a thing!

You look so tired and sad. It’s a very hard road you’re travelling but you’re helping so many others in a similar situation. You’re mistaken , your children do live in a perfect house, where they are the priority, where they’re loved . Cleaning, do it later, it’ll be there waiting for you and in times to come you won’t look back and regret not cleaning the sink!!

Watching you guys with your young family so brings memories. Little Kids are exhausting. Oh so get the quiet thing. My son was a concoction maker lol every lotion and pantry ingredients were constantly swiped to make huge messes lol. Well he is ordering the coat hangers so there’s that 😁 it really does get better my son is 13 now and is a lot more regulated. Big hugs lovely. My son never wears long pants even in the most freezing weather. The hyperactivity is exhausting and you never feel like you’re getting anywhere. It’s normal but not fun. For them it’s awesome lol

I was a bit OCD up until we had my son. I realised i just can't spend that much time on my hideous rituals and can't be spotless. So i took a deep breath and let the unimportant things go. And the word you were looking for is uncertainty for me at least. Why haven't it happened yet, will it ever happen for him. I don't know, I can just hope, so he will have it easier in life.

Hi me and my husband are grandparents to a beautiful 3 year old little girl and a adorable 1 years old , we also have 4 now grown childrens, we have 2 girls and twin boys . My youngest daughter who is now 26 years old and the Mom of our beautiful grandbabies, she was extremely hyperactive and Ocd / Hyperawareness Ocd , She also would be okay with just 4 to 5 hours of sleep a day and was always awake at 4:00 or 5 am everyday ,she was always go go go from dust to dawn and she was into absolutely everything from 2 yrs old to about 5 yrs old everyday but to be honest even though i was exhausted and sleep deprived , my house was a mess because i had 3 other childrens that me and my hhsband had to try our best to spend quality time and make sure they know that we love them all so much because my youngest daughter would have to have most of my attention , i never wanted my other 3 childrens feel left out . They were truly amzing and so understanding and so helpful , on those days that there sister would be not wanting to go to sleep or up so early that i just had to try my best to just stay awake lol But in all the chaos , cleaning many of her adventure messes lol , sleepless nights , her very picky eating like only wanting lipton soup or spaghetti and sauce for 5 years .... Today she is a beautiful 26 year old mom to a boy and girl and she is absolutely an amazing mom and with patience , love and being attentive , she has turned out to be so much more relaxed and less go go go , but she still eats lipton soup everyday lol ! All in all the chaos , mess , sleeplessness , if someone said if you could have changed all that with your daughter , I would 100% never change any of it , or anything about her or any of my childrens . You and your husband really remind me of us when our childrens were small except my daughter wasn't autistic, so i really would say that yes my daughter being hyperactive ocd and having 3 other childrens with twin boys was not easy and we never had a perfectly clean home but we had the perfect loving family , As you and your husband, you said you don't have the perfect home or a clean house but in reality i think your family is perfect and they say no parent is perfect but both of you are as close to being the perfect parents with being so loving , attentive , patient , understanding and caring , also both your childrens are truly blessed to have you as parents as i know that you are blessed to have both your gorgeous childrens. That's so true about ...Life Is not about having a clean house , life is all about living the best life you can in spending loving , fun and quality time with your children . I always said there is a difference in a dirty house and a messy house , my house was never dirty but with me having children it was always messy while my childrens were awake and the mess can wait to be cleaned or picked up because while my childrens are up or awake , The mess isn't going anywhere or moving but my childrens are and they can't wait lol . So I'll get to cleaning or picking up the mess when they are either in bed or Daddy had taken them outside or the park . I know that for myself what worked best with my daughter , Is having was having patience , therapy ( Best Therapy in my opinion is letting kids just be kids , as long as they don't get into anything that could be harmful or dangerous , alot of my childrens best childhood memories are the ones with putting peanut butter and jelly all over her baby dolls , my two daughters at the time 3 and 5 years old, taking a big bag of sanitary pads with the wings lol and sticking every single one of them on the bedroom wall and after my youngest came running while screaming..mommy come see all my (s) tickers , I'm thinking oh here we go , can't wait to see this , when i saw them all stuck on the walls in perfect order 🤣🤣 I couldn't help myself but laugh and actually finding myself saying WOW that's so beautiful while then walking away and saying , atleast there having fun , it was an exspensive fun but still fun haha. Like you son emptying the cinnamon , I loved that your so patient and said atleast he is having fun . The unconditional love , joy , laughter and being attentive . As i see with your family you are doing all of the above and more , your childrens will grow up to be such good hearted and loving humans just like mum and dad . I must say your childrens are so deserving of everything good in life and you both as parents are providing and doing just that . Good Job . We live in Canada . This is my first time seeing your family vlogs and I would just like to say that i think your family is absaloutely beautiful. I believe that you both as parents are such an inspiration and amazing parents . Please continue to be your beautiful and amazing selves. Hugs
