In this episode, join me for the next phase of my auto body work journey in restoring the 1968 Ford XT Falcon.
Watch along as I weld the new jacking plate onto the crossmember. Following that, meticulous sanding of all the metal surfaces for the rejuvenation process. The journey unfolds as I re-prime the entire crossmember including the newly welded on jacking plate, laying the foundation for the next level of the restoration journey.

Excellent work, used to hate changing these when i was a panel beater. Only taxis would manage to break them.

@RestoHubAU for sure mate, had to subscribe. It's never easy building cars. I'm rebuilding my wifes fully restored 67 impala. Whole windscreen channel and hinge pillars are almost missing. Made it all by hand and coming up perfectly. Never send your know it all idiot father in law to check out a car. Whole car was a pile of shit, flippers are everywhere. Wanted to finish my Cm regal wagon to use it as a daily driver. I hate modern cars. Wish I kept my Xt gt, you will love this when it's finished.
