An auto clutch is a technology that drives the clutch of a manual car when a sensor is pressed or breaks are applied. It works like an IMT and is the best solution to get rid of the painful driving experience in city traffic. This is a review video of the auto clutch system after driving it for around 800 KMs that was installed in the TUV300.

PaaJi thanks for sharing your experience with auto clutch. It was informative , guiding and reassuring to me.I installed autoclutch in my Logan diesel 2009 model .Its original clutch was very very hard,gave me hip problems and knee problem. In 2015 I had very bad slip and fall,destroyed my walking surface both feet but made manual driving impossible. In 2016 I bought automatic Nano,changed my life for good. After that I came to know of auto clutch .I installed it to keep the car as backup. I am now learning practicing the change. to retrain. I found the following problems -1- I find it difficult on up- slopes 2- Car stalled a few times on the road, and it took up to 5 minutes for the gear to reset only then i could restrt the car. If this has happened to you too,please teach me how to prevent this? If this happens on busy road and it does not reset I have a bigger problem..You can make a video or you can put your response here and send notification.Thanks

H, Thanks for your comment, I also faced the some issue initially, then adjust the speed and timing of the clutch release. I set to release the clutch at low RPM but speed of release reduced, it solve the issue of car stall. Also need to accelerate gently so that motor gets enough time to release clutch properly. Same worked for the up slope as well, But I use it only when there is heavy traffic, I like to drive in manual mode otherwise..

I installed this system in my Ertiga CNG 2016 and have been using it for 2.5 years now. One needs to understand that it's not a 100% replacement for the automatic transmission. It's not 100% smooth either..... A certain delay in pressing the clutch is always there, it can't substitute a sudden clutch press one does with the foot, the motor will always take 1 second to pull the clutch completely..... This sometimes results in the car engine coming to a stop while starting from 0. But, this all becomes manageable with time. It did take me a few months to completely tune myself with its behaviour, and it works like a charm for me. I keep touching the sensor to do half clutch driving to manage it. I am very very satisfied with it, makes my daily commute of 46 Kms in Delhi's peak traffic very comfortable.

I installed recently, and found that on uphill or incline doesn't suit, and had to use manual method to get vehicle moving which is risky. In uphill in traffic applied 1 gear after stopping vehicle due to traffic,vehicle didn't move forward after release of brake and started moving back gave slight acceleration which stopped the vehicle completely. Hence switched back to manual mode to climb uphill. A dangerous proposition if hill assist like function is not available.

Agree with you disadvantage is when in reverse the auto clutch doesn't support if it's on incline and moves front instead of reverse. Only on straight roads the auto clutch is fine,else slope up or incline Vehicle rolls back or rolls front,😢

I like this informative video Sir Ji. Since I am looking for auto clutch and in that way another service provider is offering auto clutch under brand name “city clutch” which I believe is not joining in any way with engine parts or RPM as you shown in your video. All other things are same. Whether said city clutch is also reliable or the one you shown in your video is reliable or both are one and same. P L guide in this regard

Auto clutch is in the Indian market for a long time and much trusted. City clutch is new and have better refinement. Not sure how RPMs are tapped for the city clutch. Most important is with company gives a service near to your town. Bette for for that .

You need to do settings accordingly, like release at low RPM and at a faster speed.. Be gentle while pushing accelerator .. It would work

@@DesiSense Dear sir,I need three things NOT happen 1- Engine stall 2- Long reset time in the midst of bad traffic on a upslope in a bad spot 3- end up with low battery charge on the top that will not reset the autoclutch and not start the engine due to low battery. Can you tell all the changes needed in autoclutch settings so that gap between autoclutch and manual driving method is minimal or none.

Wire takes max current at the time of self-start. It is recommended to keep it off while starting the car.. Moreover it motor will only work when the car is already started. So issue of the current load doe not bother

City clutch is anew technology. Can use it, better choose based on the service available near you. Otherwise, the booth work the same way.

will battery become weak because of this accessory fitment, does ESS work when using this auto clutch

It needs extra current buy works when the car is on, so not much direct impact on the battery. Must use after running car for a few KM and switch off before turning the car off. This will increase its life. For ESS, you need to release breaks and push the accelerator a bit to increase the RPM so that clutch is released.

@@DesiSense what is ESS? can you throw light of understanding on time relation between accelerator pedal - RPM -Clutch release ? what setting change can prevent engine stall at low RPM? because RPM will increase only when accelerator is pressed and that will release the clutch. I want to have settings changed to prevent engine stall,more responsive pickup and better engine power in upslope driving using autoclutch.

@@arunmehta4025 ESS is an engine start-stop, in some cars, it is known as the ideal start-stop. It switches of the engine when car stopped at a red light etc. but it should be in neutral and the clutch is fully released. As far as know, it would be difficult to achieve all with the system, To prevent Engine stall at low RPM, need to increase the delay of clutch release, If you reduce RPM settings too low, it will case stalling at higher gears. The best settings that worked for me were low rpm and more delay. I use this system in the city drive and on ECO mode, then do not worry much about the pick-up. I always use the combination of Auto and Manual as needed, which can't do with AMT.

Must go for it if having an issue with leg. If your car is in warranty, check with automate India and Manhindra both about warranty impact.

@@DesiSense Mr Pandey follow the host advice, ideally u should go for AMT car but if you dont want to buy AMT,do go for autoclutch or citi clutch -some reader said it is better and more sensitive. It will be a good option,relief and will give you time.

Sir, on a long time use wil it effect the clutch plates or any other part of the car? When the system is turned on if v don't touch the sensor on the gear lever & change gear will it change gear or jerk?? Sir what is the cost ? & Installation cost? It does not allow car to go back on up hill when brake is released.. But my recommendation is to used in heavy traffic only .. No personal experience about clutch plates but people used it for more than 50k km, did not report of it caused any issues, better if put top two gears Manually by pressing the clutch. If you don't press the sensor, clutch will not be pressed, you need to do by self, else it would be like changing gear without clutch of a normal car.. Total Cost in DL is about 50k.. It's on off switch on the knob stopped working a few days back, it was always on even after changing the switch. So used installed another switch under dashboard.

I have auto clutch only. It is an and trusted systems. But a few complex CPU settings. City clutch is a new system and easy to tune. You can decide based on service availability near you..

It needs a high RPM of around 13000 to release the clutch fully, difficult to achieve the same in top gear when traffic is moving slowly, no such issues on the highways. So better to use manual clutch for top gear in city

I have same driving style.. in City I drive in low RPM and with higher gear.. I have diesel baleno .. I hardly accelerate the car in city ...i drive up to 1200 rpm only .. I am also looking for AUTO CLUTCH ... Let me know if Its really useful.

It is, the best part is that you can switch it off when needed, also can change gear manually even when it is on without touching the sensor .. I use the auto clutch for upto 3rd gear only,

Dont know what u mean by same driving style.Pl tell what is yr RPM vs gear habit in manual.It seems you switcg gear to next at low RPM=1200.That is interesting.Pl tell why? I will test drive my logan diesel with autoclutch in that way. I need to find a stable baseline for my car with autoclutch.It seems you change to G2 and G3 G4 when RPM reaches 1200. Clutch pressed by sensor instead of foot is very helpful relief and good upgrade in your manual car. Setting should be such that you can also use autoclutch in upslope situation without a STALL- a very uncomfortable,unsafe and troubling event that takes nearly 5 long minutes to reset and unlock the system.

Yes, I drove 1000KM keeping it on always, it worked well., you get both options, can use clutch by turning if off or not touching sensor even when the system is on

@@arunmehta4025 I had the same issue, generally, I don't place my hand on the gear knob when not to change gear, and if needed at all to shift gear manually when the system is on, I place my thumb at top of the knob. TUV300 is wide enough to avoid accidental touch to gear knob.

Muze 2 points clear karen. 1) kya yeh Rs.50,000/- ke antargat purani clutchplate replace karne ke baad system Autoclutch set karten hai ya phir wohi purani clutchplate hi rakhte hai. 2) Kya bade Ghar roads mein bahut traffic rahta hai to manual transmission mein half Clutch ka istemal hota hai. Usi tarah, Autoclutch system me brake use karte waqt cluch pedal bhi dabta hai. To kya is se Clutch plate burn nahi hogi kya. Is baare mein kuch adhik information Dene ki Krupa karen. Thanks a lot

Hi, Clutch plate change nahi hoti. Sirf system lagta hai. Jub app break chhodte ho to half clutch hi lagta hai, jab RPM increase hote hai to pura clutch release hota gai.

I installed this system in my Tiago and after three months, my experience is not as good as I thought before installation. This is some kind of jugad. This system is also not comparable to automatic, AMT, and IMT. I am truly not satisfied.

भाई साहब नमस्ते, क्या कोई ऐसा सिस्टम है जिसमें स्टीयरिंग व्हील पर ही आटोमेटिक गाड़ी का एक्सीलेटर ऐसे लगाया जाता हो कि पता ही नहीं चले। मैं बायें पैर से विकलांग हूं और दाहिने पैर से आराम से केवल ब्रेक ही लगा सकता हूं।

@@DesiSense If you installed autoclutch in under warranty car? they will VOID the warranty.Their conditions are very specific.If car is NOT serviced at their place ,by the recommended interval ,existing warranty is GONE- they know their cards more than all of us.If you read the terms & conditions ,you will not be able to use warranty or extended warranty.
