I was thinking about dealing with trim oxidation and I thought super degreaser should work, then I saw you upload a new video on the exact topic and you approved so I'm on the right track, sweet :) thanks a lot Darren I really appreciate all the info and experience

it works !!, used Dollar tree totally awesome degreaser, it took a fine layer of black off rubber window trim as I could see from micro-fiber towel, now this works because your removing the problem not just covering up damaged area. Now treat with 303 protectant and you are good. So glad I found this video and solution, I knew products like back to black is just a temp fix.

Wow, I've been wondering how to get rid of oxidized trim for so long! I've been using a trim gel/black on black spray to try to hide the oxidized trim. Thanks, Darren!

Darren i got the megs xpress wax and first outing it had was for the white leather suite in the kitchen...apc'd..then wiped over with the wax after toweling off...sweet results, looks brand new..then it was the turn of the white fridge...apc'd and waxed...there is a slight problem though the fridge magnets that used to hold all the reminders in place they just slide down the door...lol...the wax is brill and couple of hits in a microfibre and run over the work tops also gets good results...thanks for all the advice as usual, regards rich.

This video was a huge help to me! We have 2013 Volvo C30 with rubber trim around the back side windows and it was getting gross real fast. I tried some gentle cleaning and conditioning but it didn't help. After seeing this I tried the degreaser and voila! It looks 10 times better now. I followed it up with some VTR conditioner and will maintain it with Meg's Synth Wax. Thanks Darren!!!

car pro plastic and wheel coating, cquartz too will work and will last for years and really darkens it up. gtechniq trim restorer works too just got to apply thick on the gaskets or it wont lay down smooth.

Another great piece of advice Darren, thank you :D Like I said before, on the rubber gaskets of my GF's car the magic eraser did wonders, but it did get completely ruined, by really putting some weight in :D (but hey they were cheap) Will try the super degreaser method if or when the oxidation returns ;) don't know if you did a video on it yet, but what do you use on the tires? I'm sort of guessing you used an aerosol or spray on this car? I allways liked the gels more... edit: never mind, kind of answered my own question by using the search on your channel and found the video :D

I once tried wd40 on rubber trim. Is a good cleaner as well, and I don't see you mentioned it on any of your videos. Do you have any thoughts?

Great video! I've really loved using my spray wax on trim and chrome now as well but I'll have to try my super degreaser on blotchy rubber trim now as well, excellent tip. I did a car last week with nasty, greasy, dirty door jams, hinges and hardware. Despite my best efforts, it just looked terrible. I managed to improve it by 70%, there was still dark greasy dirt in unable nooks and the paint seemed dull and hazy. I've tried to look for door jam cleaning tips but I can't seem to find any on your KZfaq page. Do you have any tips you could give on dirty jams Darren? Thanks!

well this was a strange start of a video :D :D :D you actually pronouced my name perfectly! i was actualy searching for a way to clean those, did'nt metion it to you but yesterday i cleaned my summer tyres with super degreaser and then it hit me to use thise on the rubbers to, did a quick little test and it worked! so this weekend when i'm cleaning my car i will get on it to finish it off + some little things i missed so this is a very very very strange coincidence that you mentioned me in the video and do a video about a problem i had and did'nt mention it to you at all..... even worse i already found the same solution to it must be illuminati and/or witchcraft :D
