I wonder if Bertie doesn’t like Catherine because as a commoner, she had more choices growing up. I have thought about this a lot. Everyone concentrates on the wealthy lifestyle that being a Royal affords you. But I think there is a tremendous downside. You grow up knowing that your future is not your choice- at least if you are high up in the line of succession. You are going to be a working Royal and that’s it. I doubt that Princess Anne was always thrilled with doing 500 appearances a year-cutting ribbons, going to luncheons, listening to endless speeches. What if she wanted to run a horse farm? Same with Queen Elizabeth. Her future was decided so young. And yet, she just sucked it up and did the job. I have a lot of respect for that determination and acceptance of duty.

The Queen Mother allegedly was very short and abrupt when she was alive so I can understand why she writes like that. On a similar note, when I was young I was taught to be short and concise when writing business letters. There is only one Lilibet would be referring to her daughter the late Queen Elizabeth ll. Can I respectfully suggest that you may have actually tapped into the energy of Queen Victoria, not Elizabeth the Queen Mother, as the only member of the Royal Family ever referred to as Bertie by everyone is her eldest son, Edward (Bertie), who became Edward VII. She also bought Balmoral as a family home and my view is that it was definitely “her Balmoral” and she loved being there rather than in London. I can imagine the thought of Charles now opening parts of it up to the public would have absolutely horrified her. The short clipped sentences also sound a bit angry and she was known to be quite haughty and to the point. The Queen Mother would also not say “that Charles” I feel but Victoria certainly would have! 😂Love your work so thank you. 👏👏❤️

I don't think so because both George VI and Elizabeth used to say 'we four' when they were all together. Also, being Scottish, the Queen Mother loved being back in Scotland at Balmoral. Victoria didn't like her son Bertie as she blamed him for Albert's death. George VI was christened Albert and everyone called him Bertie.

Bertie was the late Queen Elizabeths father. That was the name that the family called him. He was King George of course. That was his official title. I’m not surprised that he doesn’t like Catherine. She wouldn’t fit into his ideals. The late Queen Mum is so correct about the state of the world and how everything has deteriorated. I think she is cross with King Charles as he has chopped so many staff from Balmoral and Balmoral was very dear to her.

She was not a noble by birth, but her father was made one, so she was by virtue of proxy, so to speak, related to one before she became Queen Consort.

I always thought she was involved in matchmaking of Charles with Diana. That was a meddling mistake. Charles was getting pressure from all the oldies to marry. I was sad to hear the Queen Mother's view of Catherine. But she was an Edwardian, with Edwardian values, when aristocrats and royalty married within their own class. (and of course she never forgave Edward VIII for marrying Wallis Simpson). The Scots were an independent nation before James 1st united Scotland and England when he took over the throne of England. Cameron is a British ex-Prime Minister.

The irony is that the royals are so proud of their blue blood but their blue blood is unfortunately tainted with blood diseases like hemophilia and porphyria from inbreeding. The European royals are all related. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were related. They must now marry commoners to avoid blood diseases. Even Prince William of Gloucester (who died in a plane crash) born as recently as 1941 had porphyria. The mother passes the hemophilia gene. This is a huge problem for the royal family. So of course Bertie thinks Catherine is too common, but as a result, little Prince George will (most likely) not have a life-threatening blood disease. Very ironic that the royal lineage is saved by commoners.

Actually the Queen Mother was a Scottish Aristocrat. She was Lady Bowes Lyon prior to her marriage to Bertie. Same as Diana was Lady Diana Spencer. An Aristocrat. From an Aristocratic family. Her father being Earl Spencer. The Aristocrats moved in the same circles as the Royal Family. Hope that clears that detail up.

Could Cameron refer to David Cameron, the former prime minister? He has Scottish roots and he was the one who first proposed in Oct 2011 that female members of the Royal Family be given equality with men in the rules of succession to the throne. The changes to the laws of succession were finalised with Royal Assent on 25 April 2013. But, he's not blond. His wife isn't blonde, at least she wasn't when they got married. Since the QM spelled it as "blonde", I assume she's referring to a female. Does she mean Cameron Diaz? What does CD have to do with the royal family and the Scots rising again?

I'm fascinated with your auto writings. Prince Philip once said he saw a solid ghost walk past him in the library (period piece clothing) at Balmoral. QUESTION: Why do some ghosts refuse to cross over? I lived in a haunted house ~ physical and extremy violent ghost. Both my husband and I have seen solid ghosts when walking in forests. They didn't seem to notice us but possibly saved our lives by pointing out the right direction. They had a large dog that ignored us but seemed to walk through us. It was so peaceful, and yet the strangest experience at the same time. Can you explain why some people refuse to cross over? Truly enjoy your channel. Thx 😊

Cameron was an English prime minister. Scotland first minister is a very left wing socialist called Humza Yousef. Scotland is wanting independence from the UK but hasn't got the financial ability to do so.

No, Whilst the first independence referendum was overseen by the Conservative Government. Cameron did not support independence. He was born in England to a Scottish father. On 23 November 2022, the Supreme Court denied the Scots the right to another referendum.

I love The Queen Mother. What a proper lady and Queen. Exactly what the monarchy should be. I love her statements with periods. Perfectly Leo. I don’t think “common” is old fashioned. I use it all the time. Especially with how people are dressing lately lol. Anyway, if Catherine is in anyway like Queen Mary, or is reincarnated, then of course King George wouldn’t like her. I've just rewatched this now. Perhaps she was getting guidance on how to communicate with us "commoners" directly. Perhaps the bold full stops (periods) were the baby steps with that, while also not telling us anything we shouldn't know yet (?). I can Visage someone making her communicate, Perhaps, and her fountain pen is doing gentle circles, waiting patiently for her to share her own truth (?). Here in the UK, we do not say period for . we say Full-stop. We also say out loud full stop as in, that's it end of discussion nothing more to say, do not ask anything more etc.
