The shit really happens if you are driving an old low-spec car with no ABS and rear drum brakes and someone in a 5 series with full disks (ventilated) and ABS brakes stops in front of you.....When driving such low spec cars I always leave double the space, 2 second rule becomes a 4 second rule....just in case. I also find as a recent Grandfather that there is nothing more intimidating than driving my 6 month old grand-daughter around. One of her grandmothers refuses to do so because she does not trust her driving ability with such a precious cargo. It make me become a very nervous and careful driver which cannot be bad.

@@TheDimistron I don't know if there's a difference in the law in Germany and the UK, but I'm pretty sure there is a basic rule of what animals you break for and can be found not liable. So it wouldn't really work, smaller animals (less likely to be seen by other people) don't result in you escaping liability, and if you claimed it was a larger animal, then the other driver can say there wasn't an animal there. Without video proof, it becomes one word against the other. Liabilities split, BMW following too closely (although he can say that the dash cammer overtook him then immediately slammed on the breaks) and the dash cammer slammed on his breaks for no reason. Moral of the story, both of the drivers in the video are morons.

I learned a life lesson following a police car on one of Irelands motorways where normally many motorists will not pull in to let you pass. Many labour under the misapprehension that the speed limit is 100kph where it is actually 120 kph. Once they saw the police car everybody moved in as they are supposed to. All I had to do was follow at the correct and posted speed limit. Got to my destination 15 minutes faster than usual. In Ireland speed limit signs for 120kph are very scarce and often missed by inattentive motorists. Those for lower speed limits are posted every km or so. It seems that Irish Law enforcement love to tell you when to slow down but HATE to tell you when you can speed up. Typical nanny state behaviour.

Other factors come into play and none of them are in your hands) I had to pay

The autobahn video could have turned tragic for so many reasons, due to the high speeds involved. Passing on the right on the autobahn is considered reckless driving and you can lose your license for that.

In my 40 years on the road I have had occasion to pull into a layby to calm down and rest when confronted by some idiotic behaviour on our roads. On one occasion while "in a hurry" I came across a crashed car with a human shaped indentation in the drivers windscreen. It was in my local village. Later on I found out that the driver was dead on arrival in the hospital. On other occasions I have seen Fire appliances hosing down the road after fatal or near fatal accidents, a shit job but someone has to do it. Some safety experts now equate tiredness and stress and anger as being as bad as drunk driving on our roads. The authorities in Ireland now have very worthy ads about tiredness but also need to address anger and attitude on our roads IMHO.

Vom anderen Fahrer (mit Dashcam) sehen wir, dass er extrem dicht auffährt, auf dem Standstreifen fährt, fast einen Unfall verursacht, nur um dem BMW in die Ausfahrt zu folgen, diesen dort im Einspurigen Bereich überholt, dort bis zum Stillstand abbremst, und die reinste Verfolgungsjagd auf den BMW veranstaltet. Der BMW Fahrer geht zurecht davon aus, dass der andere einen Auffahrunfall herbeiführen will - ist z.B. der Klassiker beim Versicherungsbetrug, da in Dtld. der hintere Fahrer fast immer Schuld bekommt. Was kann man tun, wenn jemand soetwas tut? Nicht Vorbeilassen, Tempo reduzieren, Autobahn verlassen, Auf dem Standstreifen (wo der andere zuerst war) halten oder Flucht nach vorne. Wenn du so einen Spinner hinter dir hast, der auf Gedeih und Verderb einen Auffahrunfall herbeiführen will, kannst du dir nicht viel anders helfen, als der BMW-Fahrer...deswegen ist sicher davon auszugehen, dass es vor diesem Video noch ein oder zwei Minuten Film gibt, die der Filmende aus gutem Grund weggeschnitten hat...vermutlich hat es der BMW vorher schon mit Flucht nach vorne versucht, und sah sich dann wieder gezwungen den anderen nicht vorbei bzw. vor sein Auto zu lassen

Hast du zu viel "Assis im Brennpunkt" oder wie die ganze Scheiße auf RTL und Co heißt. geschaut?! Man sucht sich einfach so mit seinem T5 (Erkennt man an der Spiegelung in der Frontscheibe) ein Auto aus und "jagt" es über drei Spuren, in der Hoffnung einen Auffahrunfall herbeizuführen. Egal was du nimmst, schick mir bitte etwas davon! Solch eine BESCHEUERTE These habe ich noch nie gehört und dann Fehlen noch die Beweise hierzu. Also meine Bitte an dich, zeuge keinen Nachwuchs, versuche jeglichen Kontakt zum anderen Geschlecht zu vermeiden und ... (wäre zu pietätlos)!
