AutoCAD 2D - How to Scale a drawing - PART 1(Resize objects)

This video explains how to use the command: SCALE.
It is basicaly used to simply change the size of a figure or when we insert an external image or drawing from another file (that it is in a another scale).
We recommend to not use this command to print the drawing. There is another way (changing the scale of the Layout)!

Can you help me, I have a boundaries with an area of 15,364.312sq.m and I want it to have an area equal to 5639.85 sq.m How to do that? Can we scale a bounded polyline by changing its area instead?

I come up with a problem, please help me out, somebody. First of all, when ism opening my autocad 2019version, it is showing to change my resolution even though it is high or sufficient. So after that dailogues box my autocad is getting opened. When I start drawing, i kept the units to to decimal, inches and international. And started making an object. While giving a dimension, let's say 10 feet, the line is very appearing too small, i have to zoom it to see the line. ( It is not that, while making that object i totally zoomed out and drawn it, and then I am telling that iam unable to see it without zooming in totally) i also tried to go in pagesetup to change autocad resolution but i don't know which one to choose to make the objects as per the X,Y axis shown in the left bottom side.

hi there, i was just wondering.. if i rescaled an obejct by a factor of 35 just like in the video, how can i add a dimension that still has the same value as the original smaller object? for example by still having the 200 x 100 dimensions despite having it resized? it would mean alot if you could help me thank you!

Hello +michael galang. It is possible to do that, however I don't think you will need. Usually we draw in scale 1:1m so the dimensions are displayed in the layout with the real size. If what you want is having 2 same drawings with same dimensions, but one big and another small, you should do it in the paper space, using viewports.
