Hi everyone I am 69 YO but thirsty to learn. tutorial is very good. My question is this when I import a PDF file the distance measurement goes crazy. for instance the dimension of a room 12' x 14' it shows 1' x 1'2". I have been changing scale and unit to what the pdf plan is still the same. what am I not doing?
@CADinblack
@CADinblack 7 жыл бұрын
Hello +Massoud Vossugh. First of all thank you very miuch for appreciating this video. When you import a PDF file you have to scale the pdf to have the dimensions that you desire. Type command SCALE -> select your drawing in pdf -> select a base point -> type "reference" -> then choose the first point of a distance that you know the dimension -> choose second point -> type the dimension that you want between the first and second point. I hope this helps :)

excellent - thank you. I used Autocad 9-13 from 1989 through 1994 full time in my work. I was lost when I went back to use it recently because it has changed so much and I've forgotten a lot over the years of using different CAD programs (PROE and Creo).
