Rohit Dude what I am saying is they need to develop their own new technologies that can directly compete with the others in the global market. Sure, they can learn from LR & Jaguar, or other car manufacturers, can tweak or refine the existing engines but we are still lagging behind in terms of new innovation. Look the investments made in Japan, Germany or any other nations in research & development. Sure they are developed countries, but we are not also behind. There is a reason why we are still lagging in terms of new technologies and we have to import technologies. We have enough aspiring scientists and engineers that can be put in the automobile research sector, but due to lack of research equipments and motivation, many are flying to different countries and ultimately contributing their economy. Long story short, I want TATA and Mahendra or any other Indian car manufacturer to dominate the global market in the future and we should be exporter of new technologies rather than importing.

MNM n TATA need to kick out Maruti Suzuki out of India ! People think Maruti Suzuki is a Indian brand which is wrong and they make most unsafe and uncomfortable cars unless Maruti Suzuki gets out of Indian market Indians won't buy safe , comfortable n powerful cars !!

Still Maruti is unsafe , Its only due to maruti other manufacturers are bound to cut prices which results in further compromise to safety , In order to play in a price sensitive market i.e India , I don`t care what MARUTI fan boys think or say MARUTI i.e SUZUKI is responsible for compiling other manufacturers to cut prices and make unsafe cars !!!!!! I hate maruti/suzuki !

I tried the captain seat version of Hexa and it sure felt more comfortable than Crystal's captain seats. Not sure why they picked the manual transmission for both of them. In my opinion automatic should be pitted against each other.

it's TATA MOTORS turn now , Hexa feels a lot premium than XUV with lesser sticker price than XUV and way more practicality than XUV like usable bootspace , sunblinds vs sunroof , capable 4X4 vs AWD , The heavy weight of Hexa is also complementing it in many ways like High speed stability, ride comfort comparable to exotic Germans & also hoping to score higher in crash tests ! one more thing which Hexa gonna score is the KMPL - kitna deti hei , crucial question in India right ? despite weight & Powerful engine this gonna make some hatches in shame ! kudos to TEAM TATA MOTORS for bringing up this well rounded product !! 3000+ pre-booking shows how well the car is accepted . cheers 👍

People will still choose the XUV over the Hexa. That's because the XUV was so successful when it came out. Also, when it comes to SUVs, people always prefer Mahindra over Tata. Yeah, the fit and finish of the XUV may not be as good as the Hexa, but it's the longer equipment list and the better interiors that'll attract Indian buyers. So for me, XUV wins this one.

Wait a minute, Steering - HEXA : Heavy in slow speeds, confidence indulging at higher speeds. XUV 5OO: Light is slow speeds, wobbly/not so confidence indulging at higher speeds. Suspension - HEXA -Firm, Good at low speeds, great at higher speeds. XUV 5OO - Light, good at low speeds, bumpy at high speeds. Of the two one is made to cruise on good highway - bad highway or let's say any type of road and the other is made to drive well in cities & on good surfaces. (Considering Manual Transmission, 4x2)

It does matter, because electronic power steering does not provide ample feedback from the road, which is a must while driving on highways (Also while driving off-road).

+Himanshu Sarswat First correct ur self that EPS does not give enough feedback over the road. Second At present all the cars and veichile 99% come with EPS, Who told u that Hexa does not have EPS, both Xuv and Hexa come with EPS. Tata and Hyundai Promote it as HPS and others Like Honda and Maruti as EPS.

XUV500 is ages behind for now though having few electronic features inside and bigger touchscreen multimedia system. Tata HEXA is unbeatable right now in the class. XUV500 is completely left off with the class, it doesn't come in SUV as well as MPV. It can be count in compact SUV category. I would like to say one more thing, Tata HEXA is Hercules. Its huge and heavy and I love it. I can't see it getting compared to any lower category car.

Hexa is longer,wider and taller than xuv500 looks muscular in 19 inch alloy if you have xuv500 you like your car but if you are going for new car you must test drive both you will definitely choose Hexa.Xuv500 has more aggressive front look but Hexa is better from all angles and premium quality interior whIle xuv500 has cheap quality plastic interior.

Both are SUVs are awesome in their own way... It's the customer's work to choose the better... I went out for a test drive in Innova crysta, XUV500, isuzu mux and hexa... Me and my dad were very much impressed with hexa and its justification for its price... Congo Hexa...

I own zest and must say that Tata really needs to work on the gear box. that's one thing that bugs me a lot. The car on the whole is very good.

Folks..you gotta get this straight..this is the second generation of XUV500 ..so it has gone through a lot of changes based on the customer feedback. TATA Hexa is a very new vehicle..the real challenge for TATA is to take the feedback seriously and do the changes quickly to keep customers(atleast the newer ones) happy....Just launching the car is not enough..they have to follow it through..like Audis and Mercedes...No car is perfect on the first day..Hope Tata listens(actively) to their customers..for Hexa

Unfortunately this a second generation of HEXA in a indirect way. The first generation was ARIA launched before the XUV500. It failed to take off mainly due to its pricing among other small factors. They revamped it naming it HEXA giving it a more bold look to match against the XUV500..but still there is one point I agree, the companies need to actively listen to customer feedbacks and implement the changes.

If you Look for Quality, Safety and Comfort go with HEXA If you look for Sunroof, Space at driver seat then go for XUV 500

Hexa that has been launched does not have issues specified in video especially heavy steering. actually the steering is light and this video has been created using Hexa that was tested many months back.

Its time for Indians to support Indian manufactured cars, since they have been trying their best to give Indians quality cars we should give them support at our best, leave Japanese or Europeans cars and start purchasing Indians cars.

now this is real compitition b/w indian brands. Tata hexa looks premium while xuv also but to some extent. on the other hand Tata should improve their low budget car so it will effect on hexa like products. Mahindra have a good range in india. Tata also have but people think that Tata comes under taxi cars. i will be very great to see this kind of cars in all around the worls. i love Mahindra and i love TJLR . And who wants flex handling in suv cars

I saw TATA HEXA at showroon while i was on tata showroom for my tiago service mean while looks awesome interior is also good nice sound system and many others features i love to buy tata hexa awd in manual transmission only reason we can easily raced our car and quick pic-up during launch, sharp overtaking on highway and main very use full on hilly roads. manual transmission have it's own pleasure and sunroof is not useful in India also TATA cars are strong in built quality and also use heavy material [NOTE:- "those people whom are watch out the mileage in power full engine", i request those all people to buy maruti 800 and convert in to cng for good mileage, never buy powerful engines because powerful engine consumed fuel according to it's BHP ]

Mahindra lacks that finish in interior, Service of Mahindra is worst as we had owned a scorpio we know how it is, Mahindra is always like a car built on Goods vehicle platform. I do not know why Renuka Ma'am is so fancy about lighter steering, in high speed if the steering is light it affects stability and feels less confident in corners. Anyways TATA have bought up a good competator for XUV 500. for ppl asking for comparison in Innova, please stop it they not will be uncomapareable. Since it is Best of its breed and class ahead. Those who complain about heavy steering. Is is a hydraulic unit in Hexa. Hydraulic units are known to provide more feedback than EPS.

Nice to see Tata coming out with a big SUV as now very few in the price range of 10-20 l are big SUVs like XUV 500, Safari Storme n Scorpio

Well, no point of testing. Hexa cannot compete the standards of Innova. Innova has been the king of MPVs and still it is the king of MPVs.

Well watching the video, even if Hexa is less fun to drive, has a less power to weight ratio, is low on features, does not have full flat boot space, & have a heavier steering & clutch. Is ranked better than XUV..Confused

I think the interior in hexa may look premium from inside but from the outside if you it's not that catchy like the xuv. I think in design the xuv wins.

Took test drive of both car. Riding comfort in hexa beats xuv 500 by margin. Xuv 500 is more fun to drive but in safety department hexa scores as it's well built than xuv 500. Hexa is also more spacious. Gear box of hexa could have been better.

If you take the specs of plush new xuv500 it's hp is 155 and torque is 400 with the suv looks and alloy can be upgraded to 18 inch which is much better than hexa

XUV has more features(Sunroof, Keyless Entry, Start/Stop Button, TPMS, Powered Driver Seat) and lighter yet strong monocoque chassis which aids greats handling and performance with proven reliability, though the interiors of XUV feel a bit outdated when compared with Hexa. An Android Auto Infotainment update is going to come to XUV soon in 2017. Hexa gets Comfortable Captain Seats option with 10 speaker JBL system which is not available in XUV. Zero boot space in XUV when using third row. 19 inch alloy wheels are segment first, bigger than Mercedes GLS! Hexa's 2.3 ton weight( Endeavour territory) dulls performance a fair bit. A V6 diesel from their Jaguar-Land Rover stable would have been killer and one of a kind for a desi brand! The top automatic variant of Hexa the XTA misses out important safety features like ESP with Rollover Mitigation, Traction Control, Hydraulic Brake Assist from its manual siblings XT and XT 4x4. Why is that? Anyways i wish all the best to TATA and want to see them continue their success from Tiago. The impact design philosophy has done wonders by giving their cars a premium touch. Hopefully the upcoming Kite5 Tiago sedan and Nexon continues to move the game forward for TATA. Cheers!

Vishwas Reddy XUV scored a good 4-Star rating in Australian ANCAP safety rating. This translates to a strong impact absorbing body during a crash, it also has 6 airbags.

How many times do you use Sunroof in cities in India? I do not see that as an useful feature all. Start /Stop button is something I agree that HEXA should have and going by the feedback, they might introduce it sooner that later. TPMS, are you kidding me... you can get your very own TPMS at a fraction of the cost from outside. Powered Driver Seat again agreed that HEXA should have. On the opposite side, look at the safety equipment list (which can save your life) and then you would start appreciating HEXA.
