The instant torque gained from the electric motor gives it the upper hand. Getting the proper start is half the battle in drag races. Considering that Scorpio has a turbo engine, when it kicks in, the less weight & aerodynamics of the Hycross can still be offset. But the early start that the Hycross is gaining, is coming from a combination of less weight & importantly the instant torque from the electric motor.

@@devanandshaji Definitely those too. But considering that Scorpio has a turbo engine, when it kicks in those 2 aspects can still be offset. But the early start that the Hycross is gaining, is coming from a combination of less weight & importantly the instant torque from the electric motor. Getting the proper starts is half the battle in drag races.

Actually it should be pitted against XUV rather than comparing with a boxy ladder frame scorpion . But suprisingly very close battle due to the fact an electric motor plus engine is required to come close to a scorpion.. 😅

Hycross isn’t designed for power and performance. There are two types of hybrids, for performance and for efficiency. Porsche and Ferrari make hybrids for power whereas Toyota and Honda make them for fuel economy.

It's not cars which wins the race. It's the driver who wins the race. And automatic gearbox is not good for any kind of race. It shouldn't even consider to be in any race. It should always be manual if you are trying to race

Innova is quite slanting at the front than the Scorpio, the Scorpio is just like brick on wheels, no aero, the Innova in comparison is slightly better. And additionally the power/weight ratio is slight better in case of the Hycross so ya it was a close call but Hycross takes it
