Part of playlist series which will eventually give a quick demo of what all the functions are in Autodesk Inventor, covering every button on all ribbon bars. Go to the playlist to check the current status. In this one, it's FEA Simulation.

3 months. You need to make more videos so I can binge watch them and actually understand inventor. Great series though!

SUPERB! . . . . .I've wanted to have a go at this for years. . . . My problem is being quite thick . . . I can't do the sums to back up my findings. .. Garbage in = Garbage out and I can't confirm the results. That won't stop me having a play though. . . . Thanks Neil. . . Jim

Thanks for this one, mate...nice work on it.... So...why the whole thin bodies/midsurface thing? Two main reasons (to simplify a complicated subject...): 1) using solid meshes will generate a large amount of elements (requirements for a minimum number of them across a given thickness, etc...), which would mean that instead of waiting a few minutes for a result, you end up waiting hours to get your results...and 2) solid elements have problems capturing bending and stiffness results across small thicknesses, and using shell elements solves that particular problem...

hello, i just found one of your videos about some AMD workstation car (old video) and i think you could be the right person to ask ... I have the oportunity to get Radeon Pro Duo (32GB) for a wery good price im currently student but i will definetly find place for that card , im working with CAD, Programing, Modeling (CityEngine, or creating 3D models form photos etc.. ), but also im a gamer ... so what i want to ask is, if you would recomend me to get this Radeon Pro Duo (32 GB) , for both entry profesional work and gaming .... as i understand this card should be basicly duo RX 480, and the VRAM amount seems fantastic to me ... but still wana her other peoples opinion Thanks

Do you recommend Ryzen 5 2600 to work AutoCAD (heavy files with many polylines) and Revit (modeled with many plants)? Thank you

Its not so much your cpu as your gpu. The Ryzen 5 sould would fine. The gpu does much more for you.

I just started reading into this realm of Inventor (just last week, I discovered that you can download add-ins from autodesk, made by other users); I am referring to this document which was available from Autodesk: download.autodesk.com/us/community/mfg/Part_1.pdf If you never had VBA experience, does that mean the certification doesn't test your skills of making macros or plugins for the software? :o
