In this video I show several surface modeling techniques in Autodesk Inventor. In fact most of the normal commands in Autodesk Inventor support solid modeling as well as surface modeling, which makes Autodesk Inventor not just a very powerful solid modeler, but a great surface modeling tool as well.
The canoe modeled in this Autodesk Inventor video is fairly easy to do for most Autodesk Inventor users. Autodesk Inventor commands used are mostly Loft, Stitch, Splines, Extrude Sweep Trim, Patch & Thicken.
When I create more complex parts in Autodesk Inventor, I like to use some surface modeling tools in Autodesk Inventor. It's good to try and learn some of them if you want to start modeling complex parts in Autodesk Inventor.
