Thumbs up if you hate the music! (I promise I will spare you from music like this in future videos.)

I have been in several airplanes, a couple helicopter, and a powered parachute, and the Gyro is by far the most fun for me. It has great visibility, it is easy to fly, and the maneuverability is incredible. You can fly low and slow which is a lot of fun and something you don't want to do in most other aircraft. But they also can go decent speeds. If you want an aircraft to get you somewhere fast, then airplanes are definitely better, but if you are looking to have fun, you can't beat the gyro!

You guys did an excellent job on the build, can't wait to see it fly !

Why such inappropriate music? Why, why, why???

"Does this machine come with a cockpit heater ??? I noticed the snow." Yes, you can install a cabin heater. If you freeze this video at 4:20, the silver push-pull knob is the heat control. There's also a 12-volt socket, so you could wear heated socks if it was really cold.

You should read the description and look at the aircraft. The description right below this video says it is only video of a recently completed calidus, and that it only taxis around a little. Also, if you notice, there are no N numbers on the aircraft. You aren't allowed to fly without having N numbers with an aircraft this size. If you want to see it flying, look at the video responses, there is one of some cockpit view, and one of its first test flight from an outside view. Good Luck!

If you are serious about buying an aircraft, you have to go out and fly in them before you make a choice. It might cost you a little money, but research and find a few that you think will be your favorite, then make the trips and spend the money to try them out. That is the only way to really know. I can tell you how awesome and how much fun the Calidus is, but couldn't tell you much about the Virus.

Beautiful aircraft! The background sound of someone tearing up a tin building and breaking glass bottles does sort of spoil the video however.

Sorry, it was just my joke! They say with recreational flying you have to decide yourself exactly what it is you want out of flying before you can then decide what aircraft best fits your needs. This is the place to start. Make a list of what you really want out of flying and what you don't want and this will hopefully focus in on your ideal machine. Good luck.

If you are trying to get somewhere fast, then Gyroplanes are not your best option. If your main goal is to have fun, then they are your best option. It is as simple as that! I could go into a ton of details on the advantages and disadvantages if you want. Here are a few of the main advantages.... The maneuverability and fun factor of gyros can't be beat. The visibility is incredible. Gyroplanes can be much safer. Operating cost is low. Disadvantages: Airplanes are faster, Helicopters can hover.

Sounds good. We are transitioning from ultralight Trikes. We'll be checking out the SportCopter II once the weather breaks and then the Calidus and Cavalon from your counter part in Maryland. If we choose one of the AutoGyros, we'd like to get it from you since you are the closest to Los Angeles.

Ive researched these gyrocopters online for a while. it looks like theyre kind of a weird mix between a heli and a plane, with main advantages being a relative stability and relatively short runway needs, but theyre not as fast. wouldnt a small plane be generaly better? for instance a new pipistrel virus (maybe there are better examples) costs even less than calidus but has 100 kmh more cruise speed and probably has sharper and quicker handling. its a bit hard to choose could you help please?
