Compact machine that makes a clean basalt road through a lava lake. no sticky blocks below the lava surface to prevent the machine getting stuck on shallow spots. It's also possible to expand the machine which is shown in the video.
machine only works in the nether dimension due to the higher flow speed of lava

At 4:52 you can see some observers on the right side of the image. Those give a signal through the basalt underneath to power the sticky piston
@DuelScreen
@DuelScreen 4 жыл бұрын
No. I think they simply launch in sync. Quasi-connectivity only applies to pistons (I think) and only happens when blocks are powered that are positioned diagonally or touch only a corner of the block doing the powering. This was never intended as only directly facing blocks should ever receive power but has become a useful and essential game mechanic.
@LQC2556
@LQC2556 4 жыл бұрын
Take a look at 1:51. You can see that the piston to the right of the lower flying machine is not being powered by anything directly adjacent. Also, you can see a downward-facing observer above it which is the source of power. This is also why the flying machine at the bottom stops when the top one does, because it is no longer receiving power from the observer in the top one (seen at 2:05).

To make the tunnel bore do a basalt tunnel you'd probably want 2 machines, the first one being the tunnel bore and the second using a similar method to Mango's ice path builder except instead of a moving water source and frostwalker using a dispenser with a lava bucket and a piece of blue ice.
