I have two of the Eheim versions of this feeder. They don't include the clamp to attach it to the aquarium glass, but they do have nice felt pads on the bottom. They also don't have that little plastic piece under the feeder "door". (the elliptical opening). Otherwise it's exactly the same unit. They seem to work great for me. I've been using them only when on holidays, but have had them for several years now.

You haven't lost your touch one bit. I feel so well informed about this particular feeder; although, I'm not in the market for one, yet. Thank You for a much needed competent product review.
