Bro LDR is of 5mm or it has some other specifications. I made it all but relay stay active while input. And ldr didn't do anything.

When we bought LDR the personel did not ask us what type of LDR or what so ever. We have a project in circuits and this is what we made with LED indicator that it is turned on and with batteries both power supply and for the light bulb (Just 3V light bulb) since we are only required to do DC in our projects. My question is why do I have to put light with like 5 inches farther from the LDR in order to turn off? What can I do to make it turned off by just having light like day light or light from our house because it still lights up even if it's kind of bright in our place.

So many electronics blogger and video channels on the web, very few up with meaningful solutions. Absolutely makes no sense to use a battery to operate the DC part of the street light. Had you have used a on-board transformerless power supply to power up the DC part, this project would have made sense! Worthless!
