Automatic Wipers and Auto Dimming interior Mirror!

In this video i am installing an anti dazzle interior rear view mirror in my friend's 2015 Polo Highline, recently it stock windshield got cracked, which meant this was the perfect time to add this retrofit, got the latest windshield as replacement and sourced all the rest of the parts .
There are a few retrofits which i wanted to try but my car came equipped with them, so i will be using this car to demonstrate a few of them and help anyone who wishes to do the same!

Hi Prerak! I've been watching your videos lately and i love the way you pamper your Polo and the project car Laura. I'm from Bangalore and have a GT TDI 2017. My RH mirror cap broke along with the indicator strip which is still functioning tho. I wanted to check if you can help me find the part for the mirror cap. It'll be very helpful as showrooms here are not helpful and they're trying to sell me the full set for 5k. Thanks !

Amazing passion in retrofits! I recently got my windshield replaced on Polo TSI 1.0 Manual 2021 - I have a question on a variation - Replaced Part Number is 6RG845011 AJ NVB / DOT803 M848 AS1 - While the factory fit one had this code DOT803 M84B28 AS1 (IR CUT+GREY) - from Fluidicjoy:s TeamBHP post bill I see his replaced part number is 6RG845011 AL NVB (Difference in reference is AJ and AL with IR CUT+GREY) Can you please help me understand the difference? And if the missing mention of 'IR cut' will impact the AC performance? I hope the VW Palace Cross Bangalore service center has not played me for a few hundred bucks.

AJ vs AL differ ever so slightly in lamination, especially near the tinted sun strip. AL was introduced on cars rolled out closer to October 2020, while AJ was an earlier part number. Both are heat insulating glasses. I wouldn’t worry too much, unless the tint difference is huge and you aren’t happy with it.

Hey Prerak, am I right in thinking that you have changed the stereo head unit to a ACP/AA head unit. Could you kindly make a video on that. I am looking to upgrade the stereo head unit in my Polos GT. I believe that the stock stereo is a RNS 210. Noe sure which ACP/AA head unit is compatible for a plug and play upgrade.

Hey, it won’t be a straight fit for you car, you’ll need an iso to quad lock adapter and you will need to wire the Canbus to the BCM’s T73B 20 and 21 if I remember correctly

Check for errors in VCDS, check if anti theft alarm is even activated, check immobiliser faults

With a bcm upgrade, your car will be eligible for almost all of these.

But wont rls interfere while washing the car ? Or if its parked under rain wouldn't it keep wiping it ?

If the car is off, it won’t activate it and there is an option to turn off auto wipers in the stalk. Won’t interfere whatsoever

@prerak kataria hello friend, I follow your work, it is very useful, I have a polo, like yours, there is a rain sensor and a dimming rear view mirror, I think this sensor also works as a light sensor, I think it would be good if we made the connections (auto headlight), I think if you make BCM inputs and outputs, can you work on this issue, by the way, my vehicle's BCM ( BODY CONTUROL MODULE )87P THANKS IN NOW

You’ll need a bcm max for the bcm to acknowledge that light sensor in RLS , BCM 90

Most probably yes. Get 86 or 87

And I was pinged in Instagram 2 days back requesting you for parts like rain sensor & dimming mirror wiring harness please reply and help me for buying parts and my bcm is 86 S will it support these retrofit.
