You were the only one who answered my question regarding distance of the audio and the camera. Thank you so much! Question, do you always have to have the Audio and video be about the same size? Or, can I leave my lav mic recording and then just make sure I have a unique sound for each clip? And then would the long audio file be synched?

Great video! A few questions 1. Why save the output in 3 different formats. Have you really ever needed the Apple, the h264 and/or the low resolution version again, especially since you are saving all the media and original FCP project and have a downloadable version on KZfaq. It never hurts to be safe I guess but if space/time becomes an issue this maybe something to think about 2. You can maybe add removing your rejected clips from the project itself and then going into finder and removing them from the library. Just an idea Keep up the great work!

Great video. Question for you. Could you plug your mic into your voice recorder and then plug the voice recorder into the camera. Would that provide excellent sound quality as opposed to going from mic straight to camera?

Something frustrating that came out of this for me - in the timeline, the video was longer than the audio I wanted to use, so when I synced them, rather than speeding up the video, it slowed down the audio, causing my voiceover to sound deeper and slightly off my regular speaking voice - Is there any way to choose how it syncs to maintain the original audio sound?

My issue is I have 2 videos. I record my face with my iphone (and sound) and then I am record my screen with quick time and a mic. I just want to match the sound of both clips so I can move along a bit faster with my edits. Most times I have about 15 sets (a roll and b roll) that sit on top of one another. I can't find a single youtube video to help with this. I've been matching the lines but it can take a long time when I have so many little clips. So yes, I need to match the audio from both video recordings - my voice is saying the same thing just 2 different recordings. Thanks for any tips. But I love your videos Surge! This one too!

In your case, sounds like you would be better off making a multi cam clip

@@Serge1913 Hmm, that's deep editor talk but I will look it up, lol. Just so you know I seem to have performed a bit better last night. I totally forgot, or underestimated to the tool that enlarges the footage on the time line. I made both clips (upper b-roll & lower a-roll) very large. I was able to see the audio lines much better / clearer. I dragged the b-roll in place and kept moving it until it matched perfectly. I know it's perfect when the echo is gone! Then I was able to cut the excess off from the front and end of the clips. I had to do that with 19 clips, Then once I made sure there was no space or gaps in between those cuts, I made compound clips out of both a & b. I usually turn the b-roll (from my iphone) into a circle (my face) with a shadow under it & I flip my face around on the timeline as I need to - to demonstrate my lessons. I found a process that works and it was much faster last night. Thanks for all you do and the reply & I'll look through your videos for the function you mentioned here. HAPPY NEW YEAR🎉🙂

Serge M Makes sense and that’s why I use the Lavaliere mic I did a review on. The sound is cleaner and easier to clean up in Audacity. I wonder who I have to thank for helping me learn to use that software? If you know who He is Serge may sure to thank Him for me. ;)

I tried to do this using a really long audio file I have (about 75 minutes) and several video clips that have audio recorded onto the camera, but it didn't work. Does it not work if the external audio file is really long and the video files are short? I would do it manually but it would take a long time to go through the entire audio file and try to hear the parts that I used from the video clips.

Hi, Serge, is there any way we can synchronize multi audios with multi videos for 1 time in FCPX?
@rebeccam704 жыл бұрын
Hi Serge! I want to tell you how much I have enjoyed your FCPX tutorials. I watched the entire beginner series about 2 months ago, and since then have watch things as they comes up in my projects. I have two questions I am hoping you can help with by doing a video, or point me towards one you have done already. The first one is, 'do you have a good source for learning about file types, resolution sizes, output options, frame rate, etc - basically all the numbers?' - My second question is more of an issue I have with FCPX. When I use titles, especially the 'formal' title, I have an issue with the text moving when I do the 'share.' So in the editing screen it will look and play fine, but when I share it, the text has jumped up or down. What am I doing wrong? Thank you again!

Fantastic video Serge. Very clear and informative as usual. Quick question: I am working on a music video. I have the soundtrack file as audio clip and some video shots (3 for example) of the singer from different angles shot while the mp3 is playing in the background so the camera shots have audio. The 3 shots do not overlap and cover the whole of the song. Can I select all 4 clips (mp3 and 3 video clips) and sync them, or is it better to use the multicamera function? Thanks...
@Serge19134 жыл бұрын
In your case, I would use the multi camera function
