Love your videos Hiram! I asked on the explorer forum about using this method and was told don't do it. I don't see what's wrong with this way at all! It seems to me that if you're using the actual parts that it should work just fine! I wish someone would 3d scan a oil pump tool so I could 3D print one! Until then I think I'll use this method. Going to start my 4R55E rebuild very soon. Thanks!

pullers are like that, they have to be well balanced and evenly wratcheted for torque, it actually requires a slight of.... judgement.

Hiram, Would this work for the GM 4L60E trans pump?

Hi hiram, im working on my 1985 ford bronco II. and i have an oil pump problem. im doing everything that your saying, my problem is that when i hand tight the oil pump it does not turn and no meal or dirt in the pump. I see that the inner pump gear has some play in the pump and I think that is the problem, what do you think. Your answer would help alot thanks for also reading

I just recently rebuilt my 4R44E all new seals and clutch plates, also installed a superior shift kit. New torque converter installed everything and I have no reverse or D gear, if manually shifted into 1st or 2nd truck will move but not without acceleration. I did not do this alignment on the pump just eye balled it on installation could this be my problem? Or does it sound more valve body related? Thank you if you can give any insight in advance... Joe
