Honestly, I think you can make living, or even just a side income posting "how to" videos.. You are the type of meticulous person people WANT to learn from. I mean c'mon man - you have 1200 subscribers just from showing your tool box.. I personally wish you would post more... Really, just invest in a tripod and you can start off with simple stuff just showing people how to use the multi- meters, scan tools, and other stuff you already own. People want to learn - they just need someone willing to teach them, and youtube is a great outlet. Anyway, good luck in Florida, hope to see more from you..

I love your videos, man! I just found you last night, while looking up videos on how to organize a large tool box. I just recently (last year) upgraded from a single-wide craftsman rollaway and upper, to alarge double bank, extra deep, special edition Snap On (I'm personally partial to Snap On, but also quite like Mac) box. Anyway, keep the videos coming man, definitely interested to keep seeing more! And for the record, I like the rambling, and LOVE the long videos! They're relaxing to me, and I love to see what you have and how you organize it; plus I've learned a thing or two about some tools I didn't know about before. So, thanks, good job, and congrats on the setup and the shop!

I am not knocking the tool truck brands, but 155 for the Auto darkening lense alone, that is crazy, you can get a decent complete auto darkening hood for that price from Lincoln or such

Thanks for the vid's, guy. I've got 2 (so far) of those HFT carts as well and they work great for my core sets ('til I can get bigger ones) I'll try to post vid's of them some day. Question: how often do you have to make specialty test probes for your meters? I worked on Deere stuff for awhile and was ALWAYS making something strange because I didn't have the right tech info (or the prob wasn't listed)

PS, I've got 2 telescope tri-pods that I use for vid's with my digital cams, they cost around $30 ea. from Wally world but I've seen them at HFT for a reasonable price ($55 w/ scope)

Why are your tools, toolbox and work area so clean? It looks as if you've never used any of your sockets.
@SantanaTelevision

I keep my stuff clean, most people don't take the time to wipe off, wipe down, and polish their stuff. my box is clean because I wipe it down daily and polish it weekly after work. it makes the difference. Plus tools are shiney until you get close and you see the scratches.

I watched your other videos and I was like wtf this guy never uses his tools but in this video I saw your little piece of foam to protect the hood, seat cover , fender cover and fender cover's cover LOL I understand why now. same trade but I think you work on high end vehicles.

If i do a response video, do i have to talk shit first? I mean I'm OK with that but it dose not seem necessary? lol or will you just respond to friendly banter and collaboration? it sounds to me like only A-holes can do response videos. I'm kidding of course. but i will tag you in a response to the box update. "Lambos are for girls, real men work on Laser Tag and Go-karts" (what i do). Love the update and thanks for the great tips. love the service carts!

I bought some snap on sockets from the dealer and he was cool at warranty, so I continued and bought a cooling system tester. 300 bucks. anyway a piece busted and wouldn't hold pressure and I wanted it warrantied. He wouldn't do it, even though I had a 1 year warranty. I only owned it three months. So I told him to shove it and he's been trying to bribe me with deals since. The mac guy is always willing to warranty. always. so he gets my business. mastercool is better quality stuff anyway.

also Johnny, have you tried the Airlift coolant filling system? if not, I highly, HIGHLY recommend. takes a drain and fill job and turns it into a pressure test to ensure no leaks and autofills the cooling system. it's a fantastic tool.

WTF is this betty fuckng crocker in the shop? LMAO jk... Yeah, when you buy snap on you buy the name only. Ive seen tools from harbor freight with equal quality at 1/10th the price.

To the people complaining about buying high-end tools have no idea what they are talking about it!!! For example let's say generic cheap brand "A" is $50, made by company "A" The high-end is version of tool "A" is $100 + What's the difference? Well that company "A" as a sister company or division or the same company just a different brand that produces the high-end stuff. To make things cheaper you have to use cheaper materials ( complicated not going to get into it ) cheaper manufacturing processes, lower quality standards and so on. Same goes for high-end stuff , better materials better manufacturing practices tighter specs, quality control and so on. So yes, you can have same company that makes a generic cheap tool and a high-end tool. Most companies do this especially the food industry.

Jared Tuck Actually Ive seen tests performed that show snapon is beaten in quality, performance and manufacturing. Sorry pal. I would much rather spend $1k dollars on OTC scanner rather then $10k on a snapon verus thata breaks down all the time and costs $2k to fix over and over and over. Its just american corporate greed pal. End of story

+byrysh My American greed.... What next you're going to want your government to supply your tools or the rich to pay for them. Because you seen some test. Thats how you know? LoL that's better than working in the tool Manufacturing and production industry for 15 yrs. but you're right because you seen some test. lol
@byrysh
@byrysh 8 жыл бұрын
Jared Tuck Im not saying they are low quality. Im just saying its NOT worth the hurrendous mark up. You keep paying their exorborrant prices and I will save money and buy other brand name @ half the price with equal or greater quality. Im not going to spend $900 on a boxend wrench set what a $150 set is better quality and also has a lifetime warranty. Also if you dont buy it from the same dealer you try to return it to they almost always turn you down. Sorry pal. greed is there. And wtf is the whole govt got to do with shit? I want decent tools to earn a living Im willing to buy them myself and I also want money left over to put food on the table. Im not going to pay for some assholes $220k dollar truck.

+Dr Rx The reason that tool guys don't like to warranty tools not bought from them is they have to pay to ship it out. Which lowers their profit, a smart tool guys knows to warranty, however, a new one won't. if you burn your bridges with your clients, they won't be clients much longer.
