70's & older drag cars with 2020 technology is good and all..... but '70s and older drag cars with oldschol 70's drag technology is something else to watch! Just something about older 70s cars with manual trans, bangin through gears!

I love those long, smooth take -offs with the nose in the air. Thats just graceful show of speed and power in my book.

Great job with this video. Fabulous sound or useless commentating. Loved those wheelies. These races are much more exciting than contemporary drags. Plus, you show the times and speeds that's a huge benefit - people want to know who wins & their times. Keep up the outstanding video presentations.

This is real drag racing. Old school is exciting, and I just love those classic muscle cars. They are the best looking cars that Detroit has ever made.

That got my adrenaline up! Thunder Machines. Gotta love 'em. and I am double blessed because the Route 66 Cruise passes by my front porch in Springfield, MO. The cops get a little upset when someone untrailers a funny car, but they can't do much if it's street legal. They drew the line when someone pulled in with a Fuel Dragster. But the 426's, 427's, 428's, and 429's....and those paint jobs! I love me some weekend evenings.

I lived on the west side of Chicago till the early 70's. We had Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge. And he had some classics. Distributor curbed and power tuned. Dyno timed and analyzed. Carburetor calibrated. Sun scoped set to go. I'm 68+ years old and remember the commercials like it was yesterday. Any other west siders out there?

The black 67 or 68 Camaro is awesome. I’ve always loved drag racing. I turned 16 in 1973 it was an awesome time. I really miss those days. 😎

That red 66- 67 nova was dialed in and that driver knew how to drive it wheelstand or not.

Feed my addiction! Been hooked on that V8 sound since I was three years old and my father took me on one of his drag races in his '67 327 Chevelle w/ a M22 transmission. I was amazed at how quick he could run through the gears and when I asked him how he did it, he told me he just never lets his foot off the gas and just tapped the clutch as he "threw" the gear lever. Once I grew old enough to race we lined up (me in my '67 Mustang fastback and him in a '87 Hurst Olds) and, while I got him on the hole shot, he out shifted me and won.
