Good. I hope you lost your ass and continue to do so. People like you have ruined what was once a hobby that could be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. You are not a collector you are an investor that has ruined things for normal people. I hope you go broke, you deserve it.

KZfaq flagged this comment as hateful. I'm pinning it to the top of the video for all-time instead. We get comments like these every single week from folks who assume the worst about content creators. Unfortunately for @Justinwalters7953 if he just looked around on this channel, he would see that my 30+ years in the hobby are well documented on this channel. An investor would not have dumped tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours into a super collection of a 30 year old outfielder with a history of injuries: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iq90p7WQ1Mq6e5c.htmlsi=geS-fo3W6Ggp_CHZ It's really easy to spew negativity and hatred about someone that you don't know when you watch one video and assume you know everything about them from their personality to their motivations. I produce 200+ videos a year and I'm not going to run down my hobby credentials in every single one of them. I am one of the only people in this hobby who is both a full-time content creator AND a full-time card breaker. I don't control the economics of the hobby, I just roll with the ebs and the flows of it as I navigate my business. Yes, this hobby is a business and yes it is how some of us earn a living. But to think that we don't work equally as much or as hard at our craft as professionals in other industries and don't deserve to earn a living because we work with and around trading cards is purely being ignorant.

@@RunGoodLife Funny I don't see you promoting your videos on cheap cards. I don't see you commenting on the common cards that actual collectors would love. I do see you promoting expensive cards quite often. Pretty bad that you need the attention that badly. It has NOTHING to do with you being a "content creator". It has everything to do with you whoring out a hobby that used to be able to be afforded by everyone. Tell you what gambling boy, why don't you really show what you are and go spend 10 grand on a Powerball ticket. And yes, you do control the economics of the hobby because you perpetuate this nonsense. If people like you weren't BUYING $2000 boxes of overpriced cards then companies wouldn't be SELLING them so overpriced. So....yes...you have EVERYTHING to do with it.

Did you watch the video I linked? (no, because your response was too quick to watch that full video). If you had, you would have seen tons of $1 - 5 cards and you would have heard me say I don't collect cards based on their value but instead based on aesthetic (look) and hobby lineage. Let me ask you a question. When you go to the gas station do you argue and be mean to the attendant over the price of gas? When you go to the movie theater do you hassle the 16 year old selling you a $19 ticket that was $8 a few years ago? When you go to the local chinese restaurant do you haggle with the third generation owners who took over for their Grandparents who opened the place in the 60's because the food prices are much higher than they were 5 years ago? You don't, because those people do not have control over those prices. I choose to transact and run a business in an industry that I routinely do not agree with the economics of. I was here when Prizm was $100 a box. I was here when $4 per pack Flair as considered expensive. I was here when Prizm hobby hit $2k/box three years ago also. I routinely tell people in my content that products are not worth it, or that they shouldn't open them as a personal box. In fact, I'm the only owner of a breaking company who tells viewers not to buy a product. I do this because I do not dictate how people choose to spend their money. You say that if I personally do not buy boxes, the manufacturers will be forced to lower the prices. Simply not true. Just like how "if everyone doesn't buy gas on ____ day, they will lower the prices" doesn't work. This hobby is incredibly popular right now. Shops are packed. Shows are packed. Ebay is moving quickly. Live streams are buzzing everywhere from KZfaq to Tiktok. Your primary argument circles back to "this is a hobby and the kids can't afford cards" and even that is not true. I follow middle schoolers on instagram who are transacting with $1000+ cards weekly. I buy from them, and they know how to haggle and trade better than folks in their 40's and 50's. There are products of all price points from $5000+ all the way down to $40 boxes of Big League and $60 Hoops Hybrid boxes, which are very similar to the boxes I use to buy for $20-30 nearly 30 years ago at K-Mart and Toys R Us. It sounds like what you really want is the best-of-the-best high-end boxes for $100 or less. You want the Topps Five Stars, the Prizms, and the National Treasures of the world for Topps Series One esque prices. You want the Mercedes Benz for the Honda price, and that just highlights how out of touch your point of view is to the actual trading card hobby that exists today.

@@RunGoodLife You tell people it’s not worth it….and your proud video is about paying 200 bucks for 2 cards. You’re worse than horribly trying to justify what you peddle you’re also an absolute hypocrite. You might as well tell people not to do drugs then put out a video of you spending ridiculous money on pot. You go right ahead and try to justify the garbage you spew. Actual sane people see you for what you really are. Enjoy your hypocrisy. And it’s funny that you try to pump yourself up as a hobbyist and collector yet every single comment I read is about the value and trying to break even for what the paid. I don’t see anyone just talking about the love of the cards. Good night investor.

RGL, I just opened 2 boxes of Topps 2023 Five Star. The first box had a Rizzo and Benson which was like the same feeling as winning a free paper-clip at Kinkos but the second box had a relic/auto booklet of Ichiro, Kirby (Not Admiral John Kirby), Felix H, J Rod, and Edgar the DH ! That made my day ! Nice hit if I may say so myself......

Crazy how people have a problem with this product being $100 per card? I guarantee the return on investment is better than Prizm basketball. I mean, 5 boxes of Five Star vs. 1 box of Prizm basketball hobby?; the ROI on 5 boxes of Five Star would be better 9 times out of 10

Five Star.... Some people will buy anything. 2 Autograph scribbles on a piece of cardboard. I have watched a large amount of breaks on this product and about 95% of the autos are just scribbles on a picture of the player. This product proves the old adage. "A fool and his money is easily departed".
