Choosing colors is my biggest obstacle and is why I end up following tutorials instead. I LOVE hearing your thought process. I have the digital color cubes and am waiting for the physical ones, but these videos are very helpful for how to use them. Thank you! 💜

Clarie, that was absolutely incredible! Thank you so much for taking us through the entire process, including and especially the open “waffling” parts because that lets us see how your creative mind works! Thank you for making the video!

I love the challenge of using the 5 colors , white and black pencils. I couldn’t do it Clair! Bravo! Next time maybe do one with more pencils please. A Lt, med, and dark for each color . Your process is wonderful.

Absolutely gorgeous Claire!👏 If white dots be your addiction, count me in too.😘 I use them everywhere. Love the colouralongs and yes keep doing them. They’re so helpful. I must admit to loving all those little drawings day after day the most as they fit in so well for many who don’t have time in their day but want to finish a colouring in that one day. You really are so very talented and practice absolutely makes perfect. I got the best compliment the other day from my son who told me that he hadn’t said how much he thinks I’m talented in my creative pursuits and only wishes some of it had passed onto him. After a stunned silence by me and likely blushing with shock in disbelief, 😳I told him it was practice, practice, practice for my colouring and my favourite on KZfaq Claire along with many others initially who taught me so much. So 🙏 for all you do.🤗🌹

I stumbled across your video because I had learned about the Color Cube in one of the videos from my favorite artist. I was researching it more because I think it would be a great tool with lots of inspiration to make me a (better) artist.

Claire, I loved following your thought processes, and your sketches are brilliant! I would love to see you use the light and dark complimenting colors to each color on a pallet card on another coloring and also maybe two color palettes one to handle the more natural colors brown greens etc along with the color palette you did choose for the cottage but a different page, of course, this turned out gorgeous! 🥰

Personally I just trust in Sarah's colour numbers, because whenever you print something it's always going to be different, sucks but hey lol I have used her Catalog for quite awhile as I'm useless at choosing colour and a result, I have never satisfied with my work. So if anyone has this problem too, Sarah's Catalog (which can be on a tablet, computer or phone) is the boom it's awesome.. I love hearing your process, it helps so much. As for peoples idea, You do You there is no right or wrong in art. Your picture looks amazing. Tysmfs

Hi Claire, darn I wish I had known about your poll, I would have definitely chosen the usual fall colors as the pastel palette is appalling to me personally, with no offense intended, I am 100% autumn colors, my red hair color, my green eyes and my skin are conducive to autumn, I am so happy the true pallet won in the poll.

I have the color catalogs, but I have never used just 1 pencil per color on the palette that I've chosen to use. I always add lighter and darker pencil shades. You have inspired me to try using just 5 pencils though! I absolutely love your color catalog/color cube videos, please keep them coming :) And as for a palette I'd love to see you use sometime...how about #89, 90, or 103?

You are incredibly talented ❤. I was wondering why you only went with the one colour on the colour palette and not the light, mid and shadow hues/tones for each colour (ie. 6 pencils vs 18 pencils) in both challenges? That may have given you the lighter pink you needed for the sky.

To be honest, who cares what others think about how you use different products. As long as you love what you end up with. 😉💜 This was absolutely beautiful! I definitely LOVE how this turned out and loved watching you work everything in the beginning too ... But there's only ONE thing that I would have liked to see more of.... Some "real time" coloring. I didn't care for how it was ALL sped up. 😞 Other than that.... Bravo my sweet! 🤩🥰💜👍🏻
