Thats interesting, most countries seem to allow the import of white pine. You could consider cedrus sp. as a substitute perhaps, can you get that Sabik?

Yes there is, do you recomend a especial species. Here in mexico theres is a lot of native pines,but we need to learn how to train it as bonsai, because nowbody did before in the past.

"Till we see the candles pushing" ... meaning Fertilizing even through "Winter"?
@TerryErasmusbonsai
@TerryErasmusbonsai 2 жыл бұрын
Fertilizer that you add now can simply be left on the soil, even when depleted but no, you do not feed actively in winter. The temperature is too low for organic to work and besides the trees sapflow is minimal and therefore fertilizer is wasted. Autumn as a season is one of the best time to fertilise white pines.

@@TerryErasmusbonsai thank you. Something else from the video ... did Emile remove ALL the 2 year old needles during Autumn maintenance? Was wondering if it won't weaken the branches ... or are those needles basically "spent" and of little value to the tree?
@emiledb
@emiledb 2 жыл бұрын
elbie taljaard. No did not remove all 2 year old needles, remove mostly on bottoms and at bifercations, and we leave 2 year old needles if any at areas you wish to have buds in future.
