Love this cosy vid! You have inspired my cosy eve...sausage and mash for tea, then do jigsaw puzzle whilst listening to Agatha Christie mystery on audio with mango peach salsa candle and a little glass of wine...yessss! :)

I'm going to combine cozy drinks and candles here! I react badly to candles with fragrance oils, but I do simmer spices, fruit, and sometimes essential oils in a pan of hot water. I also put winter fruit juices (or chai) in the slow cooker with spices. Whole house smells amazing and you get a great drink! ☕️ Your bookstores sound idyllic!

Your bookshops sound gorgeous, I want to visit! If I were to open a bookshop, I don't know where it would be, but there would be animals and tea involved. Like, pick a beanbag, a cuppa, a book and a puppy and go off to a corner and have the best time ever!

This is my favorite Lauren video ever. Its 2019 and autumn in the US. But I live in the US where its still hot. I will be watching this over and over. I think I am gonna have Victoria Holt but mixed with animals like All Creatures Great and Small. Weird, I know. ❤️

I have a Woodwick trilogy candle which has three layers of Sonoma Sunset, Pumpkin Butter and Apple Crisp 🌇 🎃 🍏 I'm saving it for the 21st when Autumn officially begins and I'm planning on starting Autumn by Ali Smith at the same time 😊 Loved this video and love you ladies! And man, now I want a hazelnut hot chocolate... 🤔

Have you ever burned a Paddywax candle? They do a Library series that are based on authors (Steinbeck, Tolstoy, etc) aaaand they are great! They also do a Tobacco and Vanilla one which I'm hoping to get this winter :) Great vid once again!

I got woodwick candles on sale in easons for like a fiver each 😁 then when i went to rebuy i had a nasty shock at their actual price! Agree with you on Wuthering heights - it needs to be very blustery!

Great video 🤗 I would love to visit both your bookshops 📚Definitely invest in a wood wick candle, they are expensive but worth it! Especially the winter/Christmas scents.

I'm reading Oliver Twist at the moment and I find it very accessible as Dickens goes. Also, Dickens is good on audio, provided the narrator is good at voices. It's 30 C in Toronto at the minute and I'm quite jealous of your autumnal weather

Wow, those bookshops you both described sound incredible; they need to be real so I can visit them! Also, if you are still looking for the remaining titles in that special line of Virago Modern Classics, they have them on Book Depository :) I ordered them a few weeks back. Have a great day!

I'm in the midst of creating my spooky/with autumn vibe tbr list and speaking of Daphne du Marier - you mentioned only "Jamaica Inn", but is "Rebecca" as good for cold evenings? (I blame entirely you, Lauren and Simon, for buying this book! :D) Also, I'm having some tough time trying NOT to reread an entire Harry Potter series, because I would have to bring all of those books to a place, where I'm studying (and I feel like they're safer at home..?) But I've never listened to audiobooks, so maybe that'll be my save :D And I would think about myself as "a responsible adult, who's just practicing English"! This question about a perfect bookstore send me to another level of cosiness! Sometimes I feel like it would be such a wonderful way to live, with all those people coming there to unwind, drink some tea, have a chat, buy a book... But then I remember that studying Japanese studies at uni won't lead me to that. What a shame ^^'' (On the other hand, I might find someone with a similar idea and then I would be responsible for a "Japanese corner" in a bookshop...) Lots of love, ladies!

Book maths, what a great question, I think The Crimson Petal and the White and Oliver Twist so I can get more grimy, Victorian London. You should start a bookshop, they sound perfect I always want one in Cambridge with windy staircases new books upstairs and secondhand books in the basement

You have completely convinced me to reread the Harry Potter books this Christmas. I'm going to listen to them via Audible which I heard gives an even more enjoyable experience. I ADORE those woodwick candles. I had no idea how expensive they were - my mother given one for her 50th and I thought it was like a normal candle and stole it :O

Rochester are doing an outside cinema showing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone on the 29th :). Thought that might be something you're interested in.
