Sushin Shyam is an Indian music composer, instrumentalist, and singer primarily associated with Malayalam cinema. He is also a founding member of the folk metal band The Down Troddence. His music contributions to notable films such as Varathan and Kumbalangi Nights have consolidated his standing in the industry. Notably, his work on Kumbalangi Nights earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director in 2019.
Sushin embarked on his journey as an independent composer with the film Sapthamashree Thaskaraha, for which he crafted the background score. His vocal debut was facilitated by the film Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, where he lent his voice to the song "Thaazhvaram" under the direction of composer Rex Vijayan. Sushin's range of work extends beyond music, encompassing acting roles in various films.

I remember Sushin's interview years ago (when he had long hair and beard) with Archana Kavi with his friend. Impromptu music with lyrics from a newspaper. "Roadille maranna kozhingal" --- was topnotch. Glad he has found success with a gift the Gods have blessed him with....
