If you want to lose weight, cycling is a great exercise. In this video I take you through a few in-city cycling routes in Pune that are perfect for fitness and fat burning! “Best" is a relative term, it depends on what you want to do with the bike, what aspects of cycling and the cycle you value, etc. What I will say is that this is certainly a really good hybrid under 40K, and at the Introductory price of 36,990 - it's an even better deal! While I haven't done exhaustive research, the few hybrids in the same class were all 45K or higher.

Have you faced any issues with gears? Also do you find the bike suitable for long rides of 100+ km

I have ridden the bike for about 150 km, and have had no issues with the gears at all. IMHO, the bike should be great for rides that are 100 km+ (though I have not ridden it for much more than 30 km at at time).

@@TheIndianCyclist I stay on Boat club road. I do short rides in the lanes of KP or the back roads of Magarpatta. For a longer ride 50 km or do I follow this route normally. Boat club-University-Ravet-Nigdi and back down the old Bombay Pune Highway.

Pashan necklace route is absolutely fantastic right from University upto Chandni Chowk with a fairly good climbing section and beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful bike but the only issue is....if the Microshift components need anytime replacement its very hard to aget them in India as, not everyone can import them.

The intro shots are all from that hill climb to pashan I think.. solid route

Most of the intro is from Vetal Tekdi, but 2-7 seconds is from the road right next to the Necklace garden in Pashan - really a lovely route in the mornings!

Of course I do - Moonraker, right? Baner is pretty good for cycling, though try to move to the Pashan, Necklace route side, it's really lovely in the mornings. From there you can start taking your MTB to Vetal tekdi through Panchvati for some off road riding :) Glad you liked the video!

As always, thanks Jovin! The bike computer video has been on my list for some time, though a slightly different take on it. Now when you say smart watches, what do you mean exactly, a "sports" smart watch (which can track your rides, and has GPS too) or something else?

Not exactly new, but the 3rd person footage was taken with my mirrorless A6400 and a Gimbal, not the Go Pro - hence the quality difference, I'm very glad you noticed!

Good question - the bike can take upto 38c tyres (stock tyres are 35 mm).

Almost 20 km a day is what I do as well - a good distance for a daily ride, keep it up!

Sanjay, it's been some time since I've made the video, so no launch offers will be on now. The list price on sportnetwork.in is now INR 36K - you may be able to get some discount at a dealer though.

Glad you liked the video Prathamesh, thank you for stopping by! The Cannondale Q4 is definitely a lovely bike, and higher specced than the Giro FM1 in a number of areas. You're lucky to own one :) Two points to consider though: I couldn't easily find the current price, but looked like it was 51K back in 2016 - how much did you buy it for? Would expect it to be significantly more expensive than the Giro (37K now, 41K in a month). Also, is it easy to find and buy a Q4 in India right now?

@@TheIndianCyclist nope, unfortunately it is not available and I was hoping someone will open Cannondale dealership again. I bought Q4 for 41500. Later on the price hiked and now it is not available anywhere. So I consider myself lucky that I have it.

Do you want a GPS unit? If yes, the I keep hearing good things about the Magene C406. That will be between 8 to 10K, but you can find a few used pieces on Cyclop. What do you need, exactly?

Usually people should use bike as a commuter rather than commenting but as a exercise equipment blah

@@TheIndianCyclist yes it is naturally an exercise. But sorry no offense intended, I think my emphasis is more on the pleasure of riding and making it a mainstream thing

None taken and I'm always up for a good discussion here, but in this case I think it was more of a misunderstanding - thank you for clarifying :) I think you're saying that people are fine using a bicycle to commute, but are less likely to look at it as a means to get fit and exercise? In my experience so far, it's been the opposite, people use it to exercise, but not many use it to commute - though overall, the relative number of people on a bicycle is pretty small, hoping to get more people interested with my channel.
