If you don’t mind, which room did you pick? Is it the tower king, or garden etc? They have so many options but don’t know which to pick.

Hi Jan Cris thanks for your question we didn't choose any specific view room we booked Superior Room, 1 King Bed and this was the view we were given. The bed was huge by UK standards, here you wouldn't get a bed anywhere near that big. We liked the Pool view and we didn't mind the noise, but I'm guessing the noise would be louder 'in season'. Hope this helps, if you have anymore questions just ask.

Hi , What block should i avoid? , i read that a certain block has noisy traffic all night , i recently booked for next march, can you ask for a specific room with a view of the pool? on the booking it just said room with two queen beds . thanks
@MarkandKellys5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question, yes you can email/call them and ask for a room facing the pool however I'm guessing it will depend on occupancy as to whether they fulfill your request. My advice contact them now to let them know your request and then contact them again again closer to your arrival. As to Blocks to avoid, it depends on your preference, personally I like to be near Reception so if you want to get a Coffee or you're going to go and wait for the free shuttle to the parks I would say Block 4 and 1 are close by Reception. Next best Block I would say would be Block 3 last Block is Block 2 where we stayed which I felt was the furthest away. The apartment we stayed in and all from what I could see of all the others, there are walkway balconies passed all apartments so while you're facing the pool you will hear noises from the pool plus whichever Block you stay in, facing pool or road you will always have people walking passed your room I will put two links to our other videos in the next reply where we explain about the blocks and what I mean r.e. walkway balcony and pool. Any other questions please feel free to ask. Also don't let any of the above put you off it's a nice hotel and I'm sure you'll be enjoying the pool and whatever International Drive, Parks and shopping has to offer 😁👍🏾 Enjoy your hols
What did you think of the resort and is it a nice place for kids ?
@MarkandKellys6 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul Delaney, I liked the resort it's in a convenient location and the price was great I would stay here again, but for our needs I would stay in another hotel. The Pool and area around the pool is great for both adults and kids you can catch some rays or watch the entertainment on the tv at the bar while watching the kids into the evening. Room wise for us we need/like a seating/dinning area with chairs/sofa if we decide to get takeout or simply sit and chat comfortably. We probably could have upgraded to a suite (I'm sure they had them), but we always try to find value for money in our holidays as going to Florida can be expensive by the time you put your whole package together (flights, hotel, transportation, park tickets etc.). When booking Avanti 'breakfast included' option was not given, nor were we told on checking in that the Avanti had a restaurant or what they served and prices because of this we didn't know they had a restaurant on site or if we could have upgraded to have breakfast included. Florida is great value for money to eat out, but 'breakfast included' I find makes your holiday less expensive and takes the hassle out of your mornings especially if you have children. Don't get me wrong there is a restaurant on-site and plenty of restaurants around the area it's just for me Avanti didn't provide that extra service to make me not try other hotels. Hope this helps and is not too long winded. 😉

Mark & Kelly's Trips Tips 'n' Things . Thanks for that reply it was great i know they have a resort fee but do they have other charges also how did you find the shuttle transfers ? Thanks in advance
@MarkandKellys6 жыл бұрын
Paul Delaney the Avanti charges that I can remember were the resort fee and a security deposit (the security deposit portion you get back upon checkout should everything be in order). Do you mean airport shuttle or Park shuttle? An airport shuttle you can book through mears round trip online or at the airport. If you're talking about the Park Shuttles that the hotel provides they are free and reliable they do the shuttles to Disney and Universal Mark and I talk about the them in this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nMyngqSrz5qWinU.html And a little bit in this video skip to about 3.27mins in, and there you'll find we talk about times etc. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aqximtZyncndd5c.html

Do king size beds not exist in England? I try to request a king when traveling although we don’t have a king bed at home. Cheers🍻
@MarkandKellys2 жыл бұрын
Hi Trip Reviews, King Size does exist in England, but it's not the same size as in the States, we have a King Size at home and it's no where near as big as what we've experienced when travelling. I'm guessing Super King in England might resemble a King Bed in the States maybe🤔, but that's just a pure guess. 😀

@@MarkandKellys guess not only are restaurant meal sizes are bigger🙀 in the states! cheers🍻 from 🇨🇦
@MarkandKellys2 жыл бұрын
@@TripReviews Yes here in the UK large Meal portion sizes aren't very common, you will come across some restaurants that might pride themselves on large portion sizes, but I've not come across many in London and Mark loves a buffet. He went all out when we went to Vegas he enjoyed two buffets a day🤦most days.
@TripReviews2 жыл бұрын
@@MarkandKellys that’s my problem too, buffets. I can go on a cruise or a vacation and easily very quickly gain 10 or 15 pounds! So easy to do and I stay away from the pasta, breads and potatoes I can only imagine if I didn’t!

Hey. Myself and my family are due to stay at this resort for two weeks in May. While the room does look quite nice I've read online about quite a steep service charge and deposit not included in booking fee amounting to €$350 ($200 deposit and $13p/n service charge) over a two week period. I was just wondering if you could shed some light on whether or not you encountered this as it would be nice to know first hand ahead of time. Thank you. :)
@MarkandKellys6 жыл бұрын
Hi Nate Byrne, Yes that's right we paid roughly that if memory serves me correctly and when we checked out we got $100 back which was the deposit part. A lot of places seem to be charging a resort fee these days and some type of tax (tax in the US does confuse a lot of Brits as in the UK it's usually included in the cost of something and not a separate thing added after). The resort fee differs from place to place, but if you are a little worried i.e. how much extra money to bring just give the hotel a call and ask them I'm sure they'll tell you everything you need to know.

Mark & Kelly's Trips Tips 'n' Things Thank you for the reply. Been in touch and it's all sorted now. Looking forward to the trip. Thanks again.

Nate you are very welcome I'm sure you'll have a great time are you doing both Disney and Universal? If you're going to Disney download the app you can book your fast passes for you and your family before you go (if you've already bought your passes as you'll need to link your tickets to the app most tickets have the free memory maker) when you link your passes you can have your photos taken by the Disney photographers which are all around the in the Disney Parks and they'll be sent straight to your app then you can download them for free too and have great family pictures. Also not too far from Avanti there's the Orlando Eye you don't have to go on the eye, but there is a 4D game inside the forecourt (before you go into the Eye) I'm not sure how old your children are but it's a motion game where you can choose to shoot Zombies, Vampires etc. And you move/fly with the game it's great of course if your children are young I wouldn't want them to be scared, but if they're older you should definitely check it out or just go to see the comlpex if you fancy a little walk one day it's full of Restaurants and eateries.

Mark & Kelly's Trips Tips 'n' Things Ah excellent. Thanks very much. The youngest is 6 and obsessed with Vampires so may give that one a miss.. She'll want to do it so badly she'll traumatise herself. 😂 Hopefully she gets her fix of "creepy" between the Haunted Mansion and a few other things. I'll have to download that app in that case. Thanks again for the advice.

Hi laserion7 it's the Avanti Resort, it's closest to Point Orlando. The Avanti Palms resort is further down International Drive I think.

@@MarkandKellys thanks for answer are there any more fees than the so called resort? fee 27$
@MarkandKellys6 жыл бұрын
laserion7 the resort fee is per night and if I remember correctly there is a security deposit charge too, both payable upon check in, but the security deposit portion is paid back upon checkout should everything in the room be ok.
