Great demo thanks I thought it sounded fine on everything, except the electric guitar which sounded fantastic. What a beauty!

It really shines on the electric guitar (as most ribbons do). Funny: we both use the same settings on the same amp when using a Telecaster. Thanks!

I'm most interested in trying this out inside the kick drum, and on bass cabs (coupled with an additional bright mic). I know that really might test the limit of how much spl these can handle, but I think it's worth a shot given the low cost of these mics. Using them on guitar is a given, but the low end frequency response these mics have coupled with the exaggerated proximity effects ribbons have might shine really well for those bass-ier applications. Thanks for this video.

I happen to love ribbon mics because of their natural sound. For bass, I've used the Shure KSM313, back ribbon facing the amp six feet away with the polarity reversed. EQ the amp. (OK, it's about $1000.00 US) No compression or limiting. Let me know what you think.

Its very quiet. I know your using a cloud lifter but what pre amps are u using? Sounds Great!

I only used the Cloudlfter into my interface (Scarlett 2i2), then into Reaper. No post processing. Thanks!
