the t Rex roar makes it more scary. I don't see why people are bitching. I get it we are all critics but damn people the movie was amazing and so was the art. some people aren't happy until they poke holes in everything cause they got nothing else to bitch about. makes no difference to me I love the movie. some of you need to like chill the hell out and just relax. not everything has to be perfect to your liking every single time.

I dunno if I really wanna watch any other movies after this, it just dwarfs everything in comparison. I'M DEFINITELY GONNA GO WATCH IT AGAIN.

It's kinda hilarious though how it's ridiculously persistent at trying to eat Jake, even as he shoots at it and evades it Like, you'd think that at some point the Thanator would decide that this scrawny little morsel with a gun is more trouble than it's worth and go after something else that would make a more satisfying meal 😂

The Thanator rocks! It's the T.Rex of Pandora. This guy would give the aliens from the Aliens movie and the alien queen nightmares. Say, who would win in a fight between the Thanator and Indominus Rex?

Saw this movie today. OMG, you can't be shittin'me! This is like the coolest movie ever! Beats all movies. If James Cameron was in an arms reach, I would tottaly hugg him.

That is exactly my thoughts on it. I saw it twice now in 3d and i intend to go and see it at least twice more at the very least. It's so good i could cry, i sat there with a big grin on ym face i enjoyedit so much

i saw this movie twice in theaters, and with the price of movie tickets now-a-days that is say that this movie is pretty spectacular

@HAR1S123 I think that's what they intended! They added the English "or/er" suffix, which means "bringer of." (e.g. Arbiter - bringer of justice / counselor - bringer of counsel, )

because you had to be out of your mind or had balls of steel to take on a thanator and ride one. besides i heard that it was great honor as a warrior to have one as your mount.

I just saw Avatar 2 Way Of Water twice. I know just by the title of the sequel, it’s more focus about marine life, but hopefully they’ll show the Thanator again in Avatar 3 or 4.

@pinheadman665 Sharks are the greatest predators in the ocean, yet us humans can kill them with our technology, just like what happened here. Just because it couldn't take down what is essentially a giant robot doesn't mean it isn't still top of the food chain amongst the fauna of Pandora. Plus the way it was brutally gutted with the knife was kick-ass.

not only can you hear the jp t-rex roar, in other parts of the film you can hear a roar that was around before the t-rex roar, it was used for those old sci-fi b movies

That thing was awesome! but in Dolby 3D, the whole chase scene was a confusing blur, couldn't make out any of it.. I'm hoping IMAX 3D is clearer..

Using a similar roar to the T-Rex (is it tonally exactly the same??) might be a nod to the effects people who raised the bar in Jurassic Park, preparing the way for what was to come.

Wouldn't stand a chance against the Greater Barking Toad of Catachan, or the Catachan Devil. Or the Kashyyykian Giant Weaver. Pandora just seems so incredibly tame compared to Catachan or Kashyyyk. A Wookie or Catachan Jungle Fighter would probably be happy visiting the place for a relaxing vacation.

@somedude221 That doesn't mean they graphics were better in JP. The reason not many people were "flabbergasted" by the Avatar effects is because visual effects are nothing new. With JP, well it was pretty much the first movie ever to do what they did. Now again, that doesn't mean JP had better graphics, if you were to compare JP to Avatar, it would be very evident that Avatars graphics are by far superior. Cheers :p

@louielouie11224 That alone doesn't make it the greatest land predator on Pandora. Did it kill anything? Did it smash any mechs in the final battle? Nope. It put up a meager fight against Quaritch, and then got stabbed to death. Almost as much a disappointment as Darth Maul's death.
