Since Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is a first person shooter game you will not see your character a lot, if at all. Third person view is available only while flying and you don't care for the looks of your character then. The world around is eye candy enough. The only situation where the character creator becomes relevant is if you play Co-op and then your buddies will see you. The real customization comes from equipping various gear you get in the game and hair styles, body paints and cosmetic pieces. So, I am not mad at the character creator the way it is. It gives enough options to provide something unique as a base for you to enhance with gear and cosmetics and if you play solo it has no meaning whatsoever. More importantly, NPC models are much more unique and varied.

Helps immerse yourself in a relatable character. Not every NPC model will be relatable to everyone. Even in first person, it's not for you to look at, it's for you to know how your character looks. The co-op element is also another major part of why.

For those who don’t know, you can unlock more character options. So far I’ve unlocked 3 new hairstyles and 4 new hair colors. I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere online. So far it looks like you can unlock the unique hairstyles of each clan. I’m not sure about Kame’tira though. I’ve done some of their community contributions and haven’t gotten a reward for it at all which is weird. They have the coolest look/hairstyles IMO so I really hope we can unlock their hairstyles. Let me know if anyone has had luck doing so.

i feel like at this point everyone is shitting on the game because it’s a ubisoft production. the environment looks absolutely stunning, the ikran flying is surreal, the character creation is unique. the fact that it’s not 3rd person isn’t going to kill yall

I don’t think that’s accurate however, Na’vi are cat like creatures and don’t have defined jaws. Avatars have strong jaw lines as they have human dna too but our characters are native Na’vi

Because if I’m going to roll play as a character, I want to be able to personalize who I’m roll playing. We can also see ourselves on a Banshee when we fly as well.

@@NonStopHD765and? Developers usually make the whole game around either first or 3rd person..i cant imagine playing cyberpunk in 3rd. Its not built for that. Id rather every developer focus on one and make it good. Bethesda always has both and both is shit

Well would you rather want see 4 fingers or 5 fingers when u play 1st person personally I'm glad you get to be Navi because in games like fallout or skyrim your treated like a outsider with bothers me even though u are the same race in some cases

Hahaha this is feels like a demo you got from a kelloggs cerial box back in the days, I know the game is first person, bur eirher make a good creation for your players imagination or just dont bother, this makes the developers look lazy or incompitent.

Game would probably be really worth it if it had better customization, option to switch from 1st person pov to 3rd person pov (instead of only switching to 3rd person pov when riding a mount), and had a mission where at least get to meet Jake Sully

I don't get why there are two female voices to pick from and one male voice like yeah I know the 3rd voice is supposed to sound like androgynous but to me it still sounds like a woman and not a voice that make you think like "wait is that a guys voice or a woman's voice?"

Character creators are so bad with their cameras and their lighting. Why are they so limited when you are making your pc? This one should have a night option to see the patterns better.

In a game thats in first person, creating a character isn't the main focus. Not sure why everyone is upset about it. You're not going to see your character outside of raiding a mount or photo-mode. 😂
