Welcome to Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. I've been on the fence about this game for a while now & so far I have enjoyed what I've played quite a bit. A lot of people seem to think Far Cry when they see and I can see where that comes from. After playing the game a bit I can say gameplay wise it's pretty unique compared to Far Cry although it shares a lot of similarities in the open world. Playing this game is just pure satisfaction. Jump kicking the humans as a 12ft crazy strong na'vi is one of the most brutal things I can imagine.

What difficulty and gear if you don't mind? I feel like I play pretty quick but I usually get my ass handed to me on medium difficulty. Game isn't easy, at least for me so far but I'm super early in. Great showcase vid!

I appreciate the effort. I dont think this is a straight Far Cry Rip off, but that doesn't mean I'm impressed. I enjoy that the character you play is actually fast, agile and deadly. The .50 cal rounds youre firing do seem very deadly as they should be..... that being said, this game looks pitifully easy. While you are playing 12 foot murder monkeys, the RDA in this setting arent a joke. They are extremely well organized and as the movies show, can put up enough firepower to really cause some damage. Hell they have been shown as completely capable of wiping tribes off of the map. As such the escalation of force should be WAAAAAAY higher. Instead of just a couple of helicopters coming in and dropping off troops, if you get caught up in a firefight they should send dozens of troops after you. Every helicopter that comes in and drops off troops should stay in the area and provide support by fire, and you should have gunships escalating in power, and number being left behind. If you do too much damage they should mobilize an entire army after you and have a similair carpet bombing, scorched earth policy as they did in the first movie. A miss to me. Couldve been much better.

All in all the enemy you fight needs to be as scary as you are. Otherwise, the gameplay ceiling is so low that you can bump your head if you're not sitting down. You should have to run for your life if you get caught up, not just be able to solo the entire RDA with no issue.

@@bust3rborisbro really dissing swiftly cuz he too good at the game on the other hand if you watch sum other reviews like gameranx they did say they had trouble with the stealth honestly couldn't get it quite down pact and always had to end up running away a bit and coming back to continue the firefight so it's all ab who got the controller in hand, I doubt you'd be as good as swiftly lol he jus makes everything look easy, doesn't mean it is

@bust3rboris Yeah I agree, the graphics and effects are here, but the gameplay and mechanics are not really. This combat and stealth especially look very limited compared to far cry. Very few enemies, only 2 ways of stealth kills (bow and kick the shit out of a guy lol).

How does everybody not go red when something explodes. I'm trying to do the first Pneumatic Tower Echo installation near Resistance HQ and even though I can kill everyone without being detected, as soon as I kill the last grunt, it says reinforcements incoming and they then ruin the fuck out of everything.

I'm a little disappointed in the combat of this game. I kind of hoped there would be a little more stealth hills, knife kills, and just guerilla warfare type combat.

I bummed the stealth is halfed baked. I was hoping to get more abilities to flesh out the stealth but this gameplay shows me what I was fearing. There's no alarms to dismantel, there are no radio men or guys that signal for reenforcmencts to take out first, there is'nt even an option to hide the soldier's body when you kill them. People keep comparing it to Farcry but this stealth is nothing like Farcry unfortunatly.

Any soldier is able to call for support once you’re spotted and you can get them before they sound the alarm.

This is a full-fledged long-play game, including main quests and some side content. There is no way I can fit all the extra video. The videos are over 40 hours long, which in my previous experience, any video over 24 hours long gives me a headache to load. If people really want to see all the side stuff, the story of the game is over, it's a shame.

You know for ages, I wondered why they didn’t have stealth take down animations. It’s only dawned on me that avatar the franchise is a PG-13. So they probably weren’t allowed to have the slitting throats. All putting exes through the head of the RDA. Still, I would’ve loved if we could’ve at least grabbed human enemies and thrown them. Similar to Crysis!

Guys, who can know why the game crashes immediately after launch? According to the system requirements, it should work, since games such as far cry 6 and starfield work. Installed on ssd, nvidia drivers are updated. Probably waiting for a patch from the developers to fix crashes?

First Sprawl, then Ghostrunner 2 now this... so many good games around atm. But no takedown animations :( , no takedown and throwing knife combo 😒 Stealt gamelay looks pretty limited unfortunately. I guess they wanted to make the game less violent to reach a younger audience, too. And that is fair enough when you have a game in such a famous franchise. BUt even AC Games are rated FSK 16 (every game except of Valhalla if I am not wrong) and some of the kill animations are brutal af. THey good have made some takedown animations at least. This power kick is nice but if this is the only one then it is not enough variety and will get old pretty soon.

my first thought when looking at the gameplay is "this looks like far cry primal with guns" it's still a nice game but my problem is that it looks WAY too easy you're a tall BLUE alien and yet the RDA can't easily spot you? and they only send in a few soldiers after you if you're spotted? the game should have a higher difficulty than this

Enemies could use better awareness and self preservation, AMP units could be tougher. All units generally more accurate. Vehicles could be more decisive and unpredictable in their maneuvers. Otherwise, this is fun. Glory to the RDA.

Guessing that if you like Far Cry then you will like this. But to me, it looks very mediocre. Ive played all Far Cry games and actually don't mind the formula that much. To me, far cry games are 'quality switch of your brain and go from map marker to map marker time sinks' (it's relaxing to me). If you're looking for some cuting edge open world game with new features and mechanics then I doubt Pandora will scratch your itch. If you're cool with Far Cry in an avatar skin, then I guess you can go ahead and give it a go.
