Over a decade later, James Cameron’s about to take us back to the world of Pandora! While you may have caught yourself up on the events of the first movie already (either by watching it or our recent video on it), there’s more to the history of the Avatar universe than that first movie. Like, a lot more. In this video, we’re going to go over the history of the Avatar Universe, from the birth of the original Toruk Makto, what that phrase even means, and its impact on the culture of the Na’Vi. If you remember the first movie, you’ll know that mankind had to mine Pandora for natural resources since the earth had bled its own dry. Thanks to supplementary material, we can show you how the world got to that point before the first movie! From freak typhoons to several world wars, the Earth in Avatar was definitely in a worse place than the one we find ourselves in now! Part of the history of the franchise is the history of the characters we know and love, and we now know when they were born and what they were doing before the events of the first movie! You’ll learn more about Jake Sully, NeyTiri, and Dr. Grace than you ever thought you could! Naturally, we briefly cover the events of the first movie and how they lead into the second, along with what we know about the sequel, and where future sequels will go from there.
