14 жыл бұрынAvatar: The Last Airbender is hands down one of the most meaningful, moving, authentic and artistically beautiful shows to ever air on Nickelodeon. They need more shows like THIS on Disney Channel, CN and Nick ... it's too bad that it's already over.
When this show came about, the network's views skyrocketed! I love the animation style, music, the story, the realistic and dynamic characters, the thought and realism put into the martial arts used ... everything. It is such an intricate, addicting story that reels you in but leaves you satisfied. There is so much character development and so much research put into the style of this story. I wish there had been more seasons!
This show also has some of my most favorite voice actors - such as Dante Basco, Grey DeLisle and Mae Whitman.
As you may know, M. Night Shyamalan made his own version of this show into the form of film and is splitting it into a trilogy: likely being named after the Avatar books: Water, Earth then Fire.
I made this makeup tutorial series in honor to the show and the upcoming 2010 movie. But this is also for all Avatar fans and their enjoyment and for fans who would like to wear some Avatar-themed looks to the midnight showing, an Avatar themed event or even for cosplay. I put a lot of time into planning these looks, filming and editing so I hope you enjoy them!
If you have not watched the show, I highly recommend it! I love it love it love it. One of my favorites ... and it takes a lot to keep me loyal to a show series :)
Music used is from "Book 3: Fire" of the Avatar show series.
I am planning to release the first of the makeup tutorial series on June 26, 2010 and release the last of the current 3 tutorials the day AVATAR comes to theatres (July 1, 2010). However, I am planning on making more Avatar themed looks in the future to add onto this series. If you have any requests for that feel free to ask!

There is a woman in Avatar who does bloodbending, she had a flashback where she was young. It would be cool if would do a look inspired by her. Loveeee the avatar looks!!!

@NipahDUBS My watertribe tutorial was inspired partly by sokka's war makeup ... but good idea! I really think I'm going to do both of those down the road. Thanks so much for suggesting it! :)

@PeanutsAvatar96 Keep adding layers, but also ... be patient and wait for layers to completely dry in between, otherwise when you apply a new layer you end up messing up the one under it, kind of like applying nail polish. And try using a cosmetic wedge (in case you're using fingers or a brush hehe) Annnnd last tip: Apply loose white or translucent powder. It helps set all kinds of makeup ~ from face paint of all colors to foundation, it def. helps smoothen it out :) Good luck!

@LazyFilmMaker You silly goose, you should still do a series! Especially if you've been planning it for awhile! Everyone's looks will have their own touch to them so it helps everyone who may be looking for looks to wear for their Avatar event. :D

Did you know that Suki was initially only supposed to appear in "Warriors of Kyoshi"? However, thanks to her popularity among the fans, the creators decided to make her a more prominent character.

@BovineBaby93 she's so evil but everyone i think respects her x) you should watch my voice dubs of Azula! :D though, i've been told i made her voice a little too British and I think I agree though I don't know how that happened. @KapoetLaka There's an Azula one coming up :) It's going to be a super wearable look but I'm thinking of going all out and doing the tutorial in-character, haha! At least, in terms of voice and attitude. Can't afford some fire nation royalty clothes :P

I liked the make up tutorials you did for the "Avatar The Last Airbender" characters. I'm going to Otakon as "Fire Nation Toph". Do you have make up tutorials for that character?

Okay, I just have to ask: who is your favorite character in the show? Since you seem to be a hardcore Dante Basco fan (me too!), I'm going to guess that it's Zuko, right?? If so, do you just like him as a character, or do you, you know, LIKE him?? I have to confess...I really, really love Zuko, hee hee hee.

@audfaced yea she really is evil, but the funny thing is, i've always (and still do) love the evel characters :3 like bellatrix from Harry Potter? she's my fav, too hahaha =] i will totally check out your voice dubs! and about it being too British? Totally ok cuz i love british accents...lol i can't help it ^.^ can't wait for the azula tutorial!
