Q1 - Why is 'Leaves from the vine' sadder than Aang's discovery of the air nomads' fate, according to a 2022Jun poll? (In-universe reasons only.) They don't even use the g word to describe what happened to the air nomads. Cowards. Q2 'Leaves from the vines' is about a war criminal crying over another war criminal. How's it sad BEFORE Iroh fully defects? But even after Iroh defects, I don't see how it's sadder than Aang's reaction to air nomads. Or maybe the writing was bad because it's a kids' show which doesn't really dwell much on the g word. Idk. Notes: 1 Change 'war criminal' to 'unjust war aggressor' if need be. 2 Imagine you had relatives who met fates similar to the air nomads', but people were crying over leaves from the vine. @@MyPj25 She’s actually perfectly in shape she just has a different body type than most celebrities. If you’re interested in her health don’t worry. Besides, they all do HOURS of training for this show (particularly in martial arts) so she HAS been hitting the gym a lot more than you’d think.

To be fair, I always thought the show kinda glossed over the genocide. At the end of the episode Aang was talking to Momo and Appa in an overly cheerful and positive way with a huge grin on his face and that never sat well with me (I'm talking about the animation btw). The same applies to Aang discovering he'd been trapped in ice for a hundred years, he almost immediately gets over it. Storytelling is as much about how you tell the story as it is about what story you tell. And I guess at the beginning the show hadn't found the right tone yet, not consistently anyway.

What I don't joke about though is my unpopular opinion that netflix is better than original: Q1 - Why isn't Zuko Israel & Sokka Hamas? ATLA netflix S01E01 - I noticed something: - Zuko is like Israel because Zuko accepts a 1v1 fight to reduce civilian casualties. - But Sokka like Hamas / Palestine is STILL a war criminal (just like in the original with the false flag on the hot air balloon) by using children as child soldiers and human shields by putting them in the front lines namely at the gates of the southern water tribe. Lol. 2 Interesting how people blame Gaza children's deaths on Israel rather than Hamas. So why won't I blame the air nomads' children's death on air nomads because for all I know the air nomads used children as human shields? Same with water tribe or earth kingdom. Idk about Sozin Ozai Azulon Iroh but Zuko is like Israel because Zuko tries to reduce civilian casualties by fighting 1v1 while Hamas just like, Sokka and perhaps water earth air nations, try to maximise civilian casualties by using their civilians especially children as human shields & child soldiers. Disgusting. That's what I like about netflix adaptation. There's more moral ambiguity.
