With eight episodes running at 60 minutes each, Netflix's Avatar Season 1 will have a total runtime of 480 minutes.

That should be enough time to get all of book 1 in hopefully!

I mean the cartoon season 1 was 20 episodes. If you seperate this into 20 minute episodes it would add up to 24 episodes total. Also from people that have been at the premiere, say that it is incredible and you get to see stuff that was only mentioned in the cartoon actually get screen time and be explained.
